I also hate when people, in general, tell you not to do something without giving a replacement of what should be done. Like a friend told me he did like my hair dyed blonde but didn't tell me what color to switch to. Or an aunt not agreeing with how I was handling a situation but gave me no direction of what to do instead.

I find when I make my videos, if I don't have my notes in front of me because my eyesight is horrible lol I wear trifocals anyways, I have a bad habit of getting sidetracked with what I'm talking about and then sometimes my videos will end up being about 30 minutes long and with no actual solid content because I rambled about (well I'm doing it now so you get the point)
Doing a script or outline helps a lot! I also never just sit and film all in one clip, I will stop and start the camera for each point I'm talking about. Makes editing way easier too.

Hmm I've always been able to upload thumbnails! It's an option when uploading the video for me.

@@arlothepup so apparently you can't have that unless you verify your channel. It's in your RUclips settings. If you Google "enable RUclips custom thumbnails" it'll give you step by step instructions!

i'm trying to grow my channel because
I have a successful rover pet sitting business but i feel like there arent any recent dog channels that are doing popular. i'm trying ot think of video ideas but i feel like the big videos are all from over ayear ago. are dog videos dead :(
I think it depends on what type of channel you're looking for. There are a ton of dog channels out there

@@tryinto5584 it probably could if I put all my effort into it, but I spend more time on my website than my channel. Definitely check out channels like Think Media if you want to learn more about going full time with youtube.
