Happened in World of Warcraft as well. I don't remember which expansion, but I think it was either Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. Leaning toward the latter.
@@CottidaeSEA Wrath of the Lich King is the expansion you're thinking of, but he also got world first 85 in Cataclysm. Athene abused mob-tagging. Basically, iirc, he would enter a dungeon with a group, drop group, tag everything he could, and then they would kill the mobs for him before he was kicked from the instance for not being in a group anymore. He would get the full exp instead split among party members. The stupid part was that before he did it, he asked a GM if he would get banned and they said no. It was considered "clever use of game mechanics". Then when he hit 80, a different GM teleported to him and banned his entire group.
@@Makentz Nah, it happened to some other guy as well. Some mobs gave a damage buff on death, so they just kept funneling xp into one guy and still had damage to kill stuff efficiently.

Selecting a EU world would randomly place you on 1 of the 10 EU worlds. - Remove e.g. 10 seconds from the 24h timer on every login. Possible solution to DDOSing: - Disable clan chat and friends list. - Do not render other players, public chat, overhead prayers and text, and items people drop. - Randomize the names on the hiscores This would hopefully result in people not knowing who they are competing against and when they are online. Let me know if there is something obvious I have forgotten that makes these suggestions useless.
@@Pppp-yf4lj When people know who they are up against they use social engineering or buy data on these people to DDOS them. So obviously not directly, but indirectly. I found a slight flaw to the scouting solution: you could still scout 1 world continuously (as opposed to hopping worlds). This is less effective, but people would maybe still do it. Some form of instancing could fix this, but that is harder to implement for Jagex.
just lock the player to his lowest ping world, if his ping spikes above 200 ping, hop him to his next best server. Concept is nice but flawed due to being able to log out to save time. Instead I believe exp rates should of been normal UNLESS someone used a consumable item which made their exp rates go to 10x for # amount time. Then limit how many of those consumables each account is able to use. Maybe a consumable which lasts for 30minutes at a time and then there being 48 of those given to each account. The game mode would last for 1 week in total. Once you dont have any more consumables you would still be able.to continue skilling but at normal exp rates. Still iron man mode to prevent trading. I dont know if everyone should be given lv99 maxed accounts but with no quests done starting at the same exp. This way everyone can start farming for the items they need then start skilling asap.
Just add a log in one time per day restriction. So people cant just constantly log in and out hopping worlds. Instead of 50+ logins in a day they'd have 30 for the month. Would drastically change the outcome imo. The legit grinders would be rewarded instead of the people cheating with multiple accounts.
What if they forced you to stay logged in for an hour everytime you log in? And if you disconnect your own internet or something to escape that they still dock an hour off your allowed playtime. This would unfairly punish those whose internet does just disconnects anyway though and those who disconnect from servers in a way that is jagex's fault.

Runescape is the only game you could spend 24 HOURS to max a single skill and say you “played Jagex”
Jagex should play there own game.
A date should be set and it should be held over an actual 24 hours, that would stop people logging.
Why would he be disqualified for fixing the wheel?
The rules stated no alts or help from other players, so him being logged in on multiple accounts to check which world has a broken wheel is cheating
Jagex is so weird i got permanently banned for training magic with teleporting, i didnt bot, manual clicked, 10 teleport to fally, then 10 camelot, then varrock, and repeat. Got permabanned. There goes my 5 hour sitting. Smh
My dad did this once but instead of beating the fastest person to getting 99 magic he beat me and my mom
MACROS CAN BE UNDETECTABLE
why are you still using OSBuddy and not RuneLite?
What’s the outro song name?
Phife for Life by Otis McDonald :)
Man what're the chances running into this video. Considering my name's Evan and my wife's Abbie
ROT harassing people? Oh say it isnt so! Jagex's sweet children would NEVER!
This would unfairly punish those whose internet does just disconnects anyway though and those who disconnect from servers in a way that is jagex's fault.
simpler solution to check alts world hopping scouting. 1 world
Oh shit he whooped sr.mark
Do you stream on twitch often?
Every once in a while :)
one acc per login. wouldnt stop all from vpns but it would help. only makes sense
