@@MilesPerHr My uncle has the same dodge durango but my uncles dodge durango is haunted. You might not believe me but trust me, someone died in the drivers seat and it keeps pressing the honk button , our neighbours think it's us, but it's not. The old car owner that died was a friend of my dad.
I bought one of these it’s an amazing SUV! I actually tow a 22ft travel trailer for occasional camping and surprisingly in tow haul mode it gets better gas mileage towing a trailer than driving this thing around town without a trailer! It’s a super fun vehicle to drive.
I've had a few 13+ hour drives in the Durango Hellcat in the past 3 years... seats are pretty good but I have the black cloth / leather seats so I am not sure if that changes anything. Overall a very comfortable road trip vehicle (30K miles of daily driver action with no real complaints).
@@MilesPerHr did you mess with lumbar at all? It’s possible the seats are just different enough to be problematic compared to the Demon. I don’t really notice a difference on my 2021 seats compared to the seats I had in my 2018 Challenger but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Demon has better seats. 🍻
I prefer the regular, non-adaptive cruise control. It keeps the driver that much more focused and relies on driver input instead of technology, which is a plus for me.
i might be in the minority here, but im not a fan of adaptive cruise control at all. id much rather have normal cruise control and slow down myself if needed
It varies a lot between brands and vehicles. I've hated it in nearly everything I've driven but in the Durango / Dodge ACC works rather well. When we owned an Odyssey I refused to use ACC at all because the system was so awful to interact with but in the Durango Hellcat it works just like the normal cruise control other than maintaining speed with the vehicle in front of you. This system will also come to a complete stop and resume moving again on it's own in stop/go situations (though it will timeout if you end up stopped too long).
I know the older ADAS systems were not great, so perhaps those ruined your impression. The newer ones are pretty smooth, but I can understand the desire to be in control
Hyper sensitive Auto cruise control is why I always want regular cruise control, auto braking for no reason and keeps so much distance it opens the lane for people to cut in and then cause more auto braking. I just want the option of regular and auto cruise.
I ordered my 21 without the 3rd row because that was the only way to get a bench 2nd row. Also I never want to have that many people climbing in my car anyway
whenever I drive a vehicle with adaptive cruise control I turn it off and use regular cruise control. I hate how long it takes them to accelerate when a vehicle gets out of the way.
@@MilesPerHr that’s fair! I work for a car dealership moving inventory and so I’m always on the road, the only adaptive cruise systems I don’t hate are on Volvos. I find they follow at an appropriate distance, and accelerate nicely when needed. But Theres been a couple times driving new vehicles (2022 Bronco Wildtrack in particular) where I had ACC engaged and it would falsely detect an object in front of me and slam on the brakes for no apparent reason. Btw love your videos!
Yep they made these for 2021, 2023 and 2024. There is talk of a 2025 model year starting in August? but they will still stop production forever at the end of this year.
Adaptive cruise is absolutely one of the most annoying techs in modern vehicles. I soo much prefer the regular cruise over adaptive, they are overly sensitive and slow the vehicle down way too much whereas I have had 0 issues monitoring my own speed with regular cruise control. If your driving then drive....I don't understand these people now that want machines to do everything for them. Its not that hard to pay attention and monitor what's going on around you.
I see the uconnect 5 navigation screen is still stuck in the dark mode even during the day like it is in my 2023 Durango. I guess they don't plan on fixing that!
This is a hard decision, but should I trade in my super bee for a hellcat durango. I do need a car for the snow, but people tell me i’m going to regret trading the superbee.
I would it’s an excellent vehicle in the snow! Especially equipped with a proper snow tire! There’s a RUclipsr that rallied a Durango hellcat in the snow and had the 2nd best time around a snow track you should check it out

Good feedback as an owner! I found it odd since my Demon's seats are a similar shape and are super comfortable.

The seats soften up after a while of continuous use, so no big worry there, but I was surprised how stiff they were when I sat in one at the dealer.

That's actually a really good idea 😅 and the GT isn't as heavy of a vehicle as the Durango, and probably has less rigid suspension .
