Welcome to the Perdue Henson Junior Achievement Center, a 25,000-square-foot experiential learning facility that welcomes 10,000 students each school year from various counties across the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia. Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore pairs in-classroom curriculums with hands-on learning experiences designed to teach students how to be financially independent, develop an entrepreneurial mindset, and understand their options and resources for entering the workforce.
At Junior Achievement, we are dedicated to inspiring and empowering all students. As liaisons between the business community and education, we immerse ourselves in local industries, identify needs, and develop innovative programs brought to life by over 1,500 volunteers each year. We leverage our volunteers' life experiences and expertise to offer students diverse perspectives and insights into career pathways and financial goals. Our programs teach concepts that equip and inspire students to live within their means, build wealth, identify fulfilling career pathways, and explore entrepreneurial thinking.
