I think one important thing that wasn't mentioned is how you don't need to directly cross between stars anymore than you have to cross the Pacific without stopping. There's a lot of rogue planets and brown dwarfs between stars, so you can colonize in a more gradual manner without any real coordinated effort: with civilization just gradually sprawling out

Interesting discussion! Stoked to finally watch The UFO Movie - will watch it here when the time comes.
    "Grabby" aliens. Ha! Funny term.
I'm sure some grumpy aliens will be stopping by very soon, knocking on Earth's door in the wee hours of the morning, asking if we could please turn the air traffic control system down a notch. It's keeping them up from 100 light years away :P

RE. Interstellar travel, see the Alt Propulsion Engineering Conference video: "APEC 12/23: Asymmetrical Capacitance, Warp Drives & Torsion Physics". The propellent-less technology in the first two presentations, if either can be proven beyond the lab and scaled up, will change everything. Also keep an eye out for the results of Ivo Ltd's propellent-less drive test, currently in orbit and due to switch its engines on soon.

For me personally, I am so glad to hear intelligent and somewhat open minds discuss these topics and also I was impressed with the 'movie'. I'm not so sure if there is much hope of winning many 'believers' hearts over. I suspect humanity is moving, in general, backwards as a cohesive unit; that is the unit is fragmenting into a number of polarized camps with dogma and closed minds.
Today we see the robots that Fraser talks about, being developed and most people see them as just another step that 'the overlords' or whatever they are known as, are taking to marginalize and wash their hands of normal human beings. We see the super rich getting richer and expecting the workforce to get on with the work in spite of their mistreatment and increasingly futile existences. Confidence is the exception, doubt weighs heavy and the idea that technology is not really working for us other than providing games and better ways to make the rich able to rob the poor and then be blamed for it in some perverse way...
Hollywood and the general understandings of our civilization promised so much, with marketing virtually lieing to us every day; everywhere we turn there is some irrelevant product/problem/legislation offending the failing education systems teachings... Why would you stand there holding someone else's beer, while they prep your family for servitude? I see sadness and anger in one camp and arrogance and indifference in the other camp. Not a lot of room for hopeful speculation or intelligent open minds. When you start talking about hypothetical outcomes, thousands and millions of years in the future...
Being the son of a scientist (Geo-physics) I was bought up with space in my mind to welcome all these ideas as a pure intellectual exercise; it gets my blood flowing. Humanity has a future, in spite of all that I have talked about. But I'm just not sure how I can feel proud about that future.

Coal on another planet would be a good sign of life. I wouldn't know how you'd detect it though.

    Brian,
I would like to see a debate on stage about UAPs.
On one side could be Mick West, John Greenwald, Shawn Kirkpatrick and Steven Greenstreet vs Jeremy Corbell, Ross Coulthart, Lue Elizondo and Leslie Keen.
You would make an excellent moderator.
It would be an epic showdown of science and true believers. And it would be a great thing for people to engage in.
(Perhaps even a tweener group of Nick Pope, Micha Kaku and George Knapp

I think the flaw in Frasier's reasoning is the question of aquisition. His premise rests on there being value to aquiring the assets of another star system, but that's not someething that happens with Von Neumann machines. There's no return of assets to the original star system. That's not acquisition.

So Brian, you say that there's life everywhere out there, but the issue is for them to get here. Well if there are alien civilizations that are millions let alone billions of years more advanced than us, then they may have ways of traversing the universe that we are unable to conceive of.

REAL TALK by real human beings! That feels good and interesting. And by the way, the remote viewer group also took care of these topics, with very interesting results. One person has found a technical way to film various unknown objects that, as he says, occur every day. He has found a very special way and he also shows his results on some platform. It works. So there must be some, in a way that is inconceivable to human ability to produce such technical flying devices. If I had a head for gadgets and the time, I would try this remote viewer's way of filming even unidentifiable objects. But I don't have time for that because I'm training remote viewing 🙂

The movie was really what I would have expected from the “classic “ debunker”, and of course seek out fellow debunkers to strengthen your opinion. Ignore all of the thousands of testimonies, eye witness accounts and military encounters, pick three or four good examples and try to pick very dubious holes in doesn’t cut it for me. It sounds like there’s a hidden agenda here which stinks of more of a cover up because disclosure and whistleblowers are blowing the subject wide open. Perhaps you debunkers can explain Japan airlines encounter, phoenix lights, roswell or Westol school incident? , to name but four out of hundreds. Only one has to be true for this to be real. So sorry, your flimsy evidence is just that, flimsy in the extreme.
