Tow rig is lookin good. To free up the alternator you can loosen the belt and put an inpact on the rotor nut for the pulley and set the gun to tighten, and let it rip. It will free up the rotor. Probably the rotor rusted to the stator. Hopefully the bearings are still good.
To help your steering you have a pivot on your stinger for up-and-down now you need one for left and right so it can pivot and steer you don’t have to line up directly behind it then you don’t have to have a straight line if your stinger can turn left and right also pivot up and down
That pulley on the Kubota diesel is part of the balancing to the crankshaft on that diesel engine notice the difference in weight on the outside of the pulley if you change that you'll be putting main bearings in it pretty quick if it runs at all it's just like a harmonic balancer on a car engine
you can not put a different pulley on the diesel engine because it is counter balanced to keep the crank shaft running true,otherwise it will wipe out the main bearings.
charles anderson you can change it out that why they make different pulleys for different applications. I now have the same pulley that a Kubota tractor would have
Yessir. Triangulation. That'll strengthen the bend. Lookin good, maybe just round or deburr the edges of that square retaining plate , that would suck to reach under a trapter and get all cut up

do not drill holes or modify the crank pulley in any way, try to run a longer belt to some kind of drive set up mounted on the side.
