Having ur own room depends on which building u get put in . In the 400s you get ur own room regardless of ur rank

Hello they are about the same, some have just a large space with a small kitchenette on one wall , small walk in closet and seperate small bathroom. Some will have a wall dividing the bedroom from the kitchen. Graf is kinda the same. Now just because you will be on vilseck does not mean you will have quarter on vilseck, you may be housed on graf. The best thing you can hope for is NOTHING is available and you then can get an exception to policy and live in private rental off post like me,
Nothing compared to barracks living in the 1980’s, much nicer now

Make sure it is spotless. Leaving Germany is worse, they are anal when it comes to PCSing back to the states. Stateside will let some things slide. Germans will have a flashlight all up in your engine looking for a speck of dirt.

From the guy who lives in the dorm room, “This is a good question and honestly it’s happened to me a couple times. There are ways to get in the door when you are locked out. Obviously be sure your Roomate is not in the bathroom, knock and wait for a reply. Then head to their front door and knock to see if they answer and can open it for you, if they don’t and you are sure they are not in the bathroom and just forgot to unlock it for you. You can use a coin or knife to move the lock and open the door.”
