Damn fast!!! I was honored to meet Albert Lee, last year in Holland, during a concert he gave with Hogan's Heroes....The man is so "down to Earth"...No doubt he's one of the fastest guitarist in the World.....
If you watch this man backing up Clapton, Knopfler or many of the greats he's often the only player who knows ALL the cords to ALL the songs in a medley. The rest just tend to twiddle about before it's solo time. This guy is the real deal!

While watching the Concert for George with my old Guitar Teacher, he pointed to Albert who was hidden the back and said, “that man is the best guitarist on that stage”. At the time I didn’t believe him, given the likes of Clapton on that stage- but damn... after seeing this video I guess he was right

Just saw him and Peter Asher a few weeks ago and I now realize that he us the most amazing guitar player on the planet. His solo on Sweet Little Lisa should be in the Smithsonian.
