The Nike Pegasus 41 is a comfortable fitting, bland daily trainer best suited to relaxed runs which are short or middle-distance. It has a firmer ride than most daily trainers due to its airbag setup and while it has a new ReactX midsole, it doesn’t feel significantly different to prior versions. It also doesn’t feel more energetic than its predecessors. Version 41 has an increase in stack height which makes it one of the heaviest versions in recent years.

The Pegasus has evolved from a running shoe that you can wear casually, to a casual shoe which you can run in.

Looks like a good casual shoe.

True, even though my go-to casual shoe is the Winflo 11 right now.

They have become walking shoes and increase every year in price. Nike like other models thinks they can live on rent forever but today there are dozens of more performing and aggressive brands.

Nike already announced (a couple of months ago) the Pegasus Plus that they will release next year... hopefully that will be the change the Pegasus needs - even though it will come with a higher price for sure.

Awesome review 😁 👍🏻 love the honesty and it's a shame that they messed up the midsole.

Very informative video. But i have one question. Are these shoes only suitable for running (jogging)? Or are they also suitable for longer shifts in the catering industry to relieve the strain on the back or are other models recommended? I'm looking for the perfect shoes for the 10,000+ steps I take 5 times a week in my restaurant. Best regards :)

In your opinion which runners are good to stand up all day in it, not running, walk and stand in it?

Tbh I kinda regret buying it at full price. At its price there alot of much better shoes. It's too all-around to be a good choice at something. Even as a versatile running shoes novablast 4, adidas sl2, puma velocity nitro 3 would be a much better choice.
2 things that I can think this excels compared to other are:
    - Looks and feels great as casual walking shoes (I got the black-white one).
    - More versatile for other than running.

It appears that Nike did not prioritize casual runners as much as elite athletes. Contrastingly, Adidas has enhanced its latest Adizero SL2 with additional LSP foam. Nike might eventually update the Pegasus line with premium features, but they are definitely to be overpriced. Once I retire my current Pegasus I am will switch to Adidas for its competitive pricing on current lineup.

Hi, thanks for your feedback! It's a very interesting conversation to be having RN about Nike.
First of all, it is true that Nike has been focusing on elite athletes (or weekend warriors who want to be) - if it wasn't for Nike we probably wouldn't have carbon fiber racers and we would be further away from a 2 hour marathon.
And it's true that the Pegasus seems to have stayed a little too true to itself in the past 5 years or so.
But adidas? Adidas didn't have a simple daily trainer for years, their lineup was confusing and really didn't know where to go. Supernova has changed what kind of shoe it wants to be at least 3 times in the last decade. The SL (now a daily trainer) used to be more of an original Kinvara than what it is now.
Asics managed to revolutionise Nimbus, Cumulus and Kayano - while adding all the Blast lineup. Hopefully Nike will upend their $100-$180 range too. But don't write them off, they have no intention of being left in the dust.

RSG thanks for the review. The breadth of my foot is 13 cm and I have a flatfoot. Will it fit into my foot. Pls suggest. IF not, then pls suggest me some other comfortable shoes.

Would the standard size be good for someone that wears 2E wide shoes?
I'm not sure if extra wide 4E is the right choice for me; thats the only option they sell.

This honestly is an amazing shoe i disagree with a lot of the points made as its almost the opposite for me it feels responsive and good energy return but I guess that’s what makes us all different

You can find the True Scottsman Fallacy in every comment section of every shoetuber channel. "REAL runners like low drop, max stack REAL shoes", and blablabla. And it goes on and on, forever. Every piece of human design or consumer good on Planet Earth is only good to the extent that its tailored exactly to their specific needs. Otherwise, everything sucks, etc.

Trying both at store - new and previous - new is exactly same as previous, new fome don't change anything, only new forefoot has less under feet - it feels like it contrary to what nike specs say
    - imo 40 is better looking and better running
    - also i believe *boring* shoes like peg have space in running shoe rotation - not every single shoe need to be super bouncy and super exiting - unless someone has problem with motivation to go out of the door - but if that the case exiting shoe wont help either 😅
