Ive done really well keeping it simple. Light rod, #16 treble hook, choose your spot, chum corn, just put corn on hook with a small spit shot or none at all. Cast and dont tighten line. Be stealthy, just watch your line and they will find you. Less is more with Carp, they are wary and sensitive to sound and unnatural things like weight. However, once they find your Chum ? You will likely catch as many as you need. Good luck
I don't see why that wouldn't work, I'm just not a huge fan of treble hooks. The less hook I have to deal with when a fish is flopping around the better.
I like your can opener. Carp are so much fun and i use range cubes also. The cubes caught three yesterday afternoon one was 10 pounds and one was five pounds. Did you ever freeze carp fillets for winter time bluecat bait?
Sometimes you have to improvise when you forget things. I don't normally freeze baits but I might freeze some filets this year for those hard times in the dead of winter when bait's hard to find.
@@4digitfishingWearther you scale it before it's fillet is up to you. However it keeps better if it's sealed with a vacuum sealer before freezing. It's nice to have if we have open water (no ice) in the winter. Bait can be is hard to find then. Just be careful there are some fishermen who worship at the alter of the golden carp. To them using one for bait ia a mortal sin.

Strong work BJ.
Thanks for watching every week Todd. I appreciate the support!
Beautiful spot. I will join you there next time!
I'll save ya a spot
I've heard cream corn with bread on treble hook.

I felt the hart brake but i have been there
Sometimes they break your heart, but it makes the wins much better after you know what the losses feel like.
@4DigitFishing….@HeyJohnScott reviewed your thumbnail today!! 😎🙌
Yeah I was pretty stoked. It was good constructive feedback and a little bit of "you're doing some things right" which is always nice to hear.
@@4digitfishing they’re pretty good about giving sugar with the medicine.
