Currently living in Japan and stumbled upon Gundam Xtreme VS. It's really competitive here and they also have these make shift cockpits for player to play in along with a live monitor for those on the outside to watch the 2v2 or FFA.

I'm sorry, but Gundam Versus was boring. It lacked the great presentation of past games, the over the topness wasn't there. It was stale and boring to me. But this news makes me VERY happy. Hopefully Bandai is working on a new Breaker game to make up for the shit show that was "New" Gundam Breaker.

A bit bummed that IBO doesn't have alot of rep in this game, and no Advance of Zeta to be seen at all. However, I'm still ultra hyped for this game, and I'm sure that they'll add dlc later on.

I'm assuming it should have its Arcade routes like previous games in the series at least, and maybe some disc exclusive content. But we'll have to wait and see for sure.
When they announced Gundam Versus I was excited about it. But because the gameplay was weirdly off and it didn't feel fast paced I was bored with it. And the whole guarding never really worked properly since you had to press and do weird input. So whenever I had to guard I couldn't properly guard. I'm excited about this one because it looks really fast and action packed compared to VS. So I'm excited

That's the part that isn't the best. There were some casualties between Versus and here, but for the most part you're getting the bulk of Versus roster along with nearly a hundred more characters.
Does Maxi Boost On support split screen? Becasue all previous console Gundam VS games support split screen except that PS4 version, I bought and am disappointed when I find out I can't play with my brother in the same room.
Man I still love and play gundam versus but it's time to go back in time a bit. Played the vita version a good amount and am ready to play the Double X. See you guys then.
@@GundamHQ yep. If comparing EXVS2 and Versus'' graphics against each other though...I'd say the former looks better. The mech-toonshader look gave a shiny surface look which makes the Gundam look pretty gorgeous (and MSs like Hyaku Shiki and Akatsuki Gundam actually looks gold-coloured as a result)
but since bandai announced a new title for gundam exvs arcade, console actually 2 gens behind arcade instead of 1 (in max boost we have full boost in PS3)

Thanks i saw the reply just as I was watching the trailer I found that apparently landed about 4 hours ago. I said for a while they should just re release the PS3 one in the west, but I'll gladly take this. With how lack luster the last breaker, and Battle Operation 2 feel, and that I'd still like to see a gundam experience like Gundam vs Zeta was on PS2, maybe even a game with some exploration and taking on jobs with a squad of friends, it's been rough. But the last VS was decent and I'm happy to hear of this. Good news out of the blue for a change.

Thought we'd get the PS3 one maybe, or at least I said I wanted such. I'll gladly take this. This combined with the fact PS5 is going to be backward compatible with PS4, maybe more, means we're gonna have a good easy way to keep playing an even better VS game. Wish they'd do something like in my other comment too.
Yeah, Gundam VS was a let down. For starters, the roster was already disappointing. A lot of essential characters for competitive play weren't featured and even the DLCs were MEH. The online play was problematic, too. I always had connection problems and lagged a lot. If I can't play online, I'm left with trial routes and survivals (which is honestly one of the few good things in VS, but still lackluster...except BOSS survival) . I'm really excited for Maxi Boost on the PS4. With split-screen play, too! Can't wait!
I want to get excited for this game. I love Gundam and played Gundam VS. a lot but the complete lack of support Bandai gave to the western release left a very bad taste in my mouth. So I just don’t know if I’m willing to give them money for this game and then they do it again. We got what 1/4 of the DLC that was released in Japan.
Cool but how much focus is there for online play and what's the replayability like because i won't be touching it if it ends up like how versus was with the only replay value in online matches with garbage connection issues
I touched on it a little in the video. This is what they usually do, because they make a lot more money just in arcades. There's a big difference in paying $60 once for a game, and paying a couple dollars to play for a half an hour, and then coming back again and again. So they make money by selling the old arcade machines on home consoles, and then by having the newest (EXVS) get people to keep paying daily.
Supposedly it does, but I don't know if I trust the source on that. All the other EXVS games on console got splitscreen, so hopefully we should have it here too.

Maxi boost adds more suits and a different burst types in exchange, they remove the Boost dive and the GVS exclusive grunt units.
I don't like boost dive or strikers
Boost dive removal is an improvement, I love the loss of strikers, but I will miss my grunt suits.
