- I can't say where this is. All I can say is enjoy the sound of these four Roots Blown EMD 16-567C engines as they work in unison. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome.
The amazing sound of the finest diesel engine ever made.
Nobody will ever match the success of the GM 2 stroke program involving EMD, Winton/Cleveland, and Detroit Diesel.
No philharmonic orchestra ever sounded better!!
Music to my ears. Friggin love the old 567Cs. Sounds like you're in an E8 if you close your eyes.
from about 0:55 to 1:05 may actually be the best thing I've ever heard in my life
Gave me some serious THX vibes
Sweet sweet music ❤❤
These engines were also found on Luxemburgian 1800 Series D-Locs
What beautiful sound! The ferry boat Sweet Sixteen originally had two of these beautiful motors but now have the Caterpillar 3608s.
Heard that music many times over the years coming from towboats shoving loaded coal barges upstream on the Ohio.
I’ve heard that music many times too, only on a quartet of GP9 s.
0:55 has the same vibe as the THX sound
That sounds amazing! Love it!!!
Would be Really Great to have a couple of minutes of recording up CLOSE to the exhaust stacks... at the outlet, up on deck.
Don't care what kind of setup this is. As long as it sonuds like heaven I'm fine. 😊
Great video! Great sound from classic diesels! I assume that these are in a marine application. Can you share what ship they are on? Just curious. Thanks in advance.
Sounds like a horror movie
looks like a coastguard icebreaker
It isn't.
Roots blowers
I always loved the "mellower" sound of the 567C versus the other versions. What made them sound different? The blowers?
Is this the thing that the two guys from SNL just bought?
What type of vessel is this in? They are parreleling beautifully
It is in a now retired ferry boat
Why do you need four
Because four is better than three.
