    I'd like to point out an important detail about Rome Avanti that was glossed over. If you go back to the course teaser and watch the clip that shows Pauline driving around the roundabout, *RIGHT AT THE VERY END* you can actually see a set of arrow fences blocking off the final left most section of the roundabout from entry forcing racers to drive the long way around to reach the next set of item boxes.

    I agree on Piranha Plant Cove and Madrid Drive, but I'm not sure about Rome Avanti. I thought I had finally figured out the route prior to this video, but it turns out its a lot harder than I expected due to the alleyway at the end of Rome Avanti 1 seemingly being straight before Rome Avanti 2.

I think the reason for PPC 2 starting in a different spot was so more of PPC 2 got the spotlight before transitioning back to PPC 1 briefly, as it is an individual course in Tour. I‘m not so certain on the routes, but I am interested in how they’re going to be done.
    To recap, each of the tracks did this:
    Tour Paris Promenade:
    Laps 1 & 2: A combination of elements from 1, 2 and 3
    Lap 3: Same as above, but in reverse
    Tour Tokyo Blur:
    Lap 1: Route 1
    Lap 2: Route 2
    Lap 3: Route 3
    Tour New York Minute:
    Lap 1: Route 1, with extra branch
    Lap 2: Route 2, also with extra branch
    Lap 3: Route 3
    N64 Kalimari Desert:
    Lap 1: Original
    Laps 2 & 3: Second route from Tour, ending at the original finish line
    Tour Sydney Sprint:
    Lap 1: Route 1
    Lap 2: Route 3, unused at time, merging to Route 2
    Lap 3: Route 1R
    Tour London Loop:
    Lap 1: Route 1 with extra branch
    Lap 2: Route 2
    Lap 3: Route 2, with elements from 3R
    Tour Berlin Byways:
    Lap 1: Route 2 (Unique)
    Lap 2: Route 2, merging to 3, merging to end of 1 via unused branch
    Lap 3: Route 1
    DS Peach Gardens:
    Laps 1 & 2: Original, though long way of roundabout had been barrier-Ed off
    Lap 3: Unused path to left of mansion, then done in Reverse with Glider Ramp
    Tour Amsterdam Drift:
    Lap 1: Route 1
    Lap 2: Route 2R, alternate path blocked off
    Lap 3: Route 3R with Trams, then 3N via unused road, minus the trams
    Tour Bangkok Rush:
    Lap 1: Route 1 (Standard)
    Lap 2: Beginning of Route 2 with the rest from Route 3
    Lap 3: Beginning of Route 3 with the rest from Route 2
    Tour Singapore Speedway:
    Lap 1: Route 1 (No Surprise)
    Lap 2: Route 3 through Chinatown, then merge to beginning of Route 2
    Lap 3: Rest of exclusive Route 2, before merge to exclusive Route 3 routes, going through Chinatown section again
    Tour Athens Dash:
    Lap 1: Route 1 until near end
    Lap 2: Route 3, unused at time
    Lap 3: Route 2 (Good ending)
    Tour Los Angeles Laps:
    Lap 1: Route 1
    Lap 2: Route 3
    Lap 3: Route 2
    That one could have done better, but not bad.
    And Tour Vancouver Velocity:
    Lap 1: Route 1 (Surprised?)
    Lap 2: Route 2R with unique exit (Why?)
    And Lap 3: Route 3 (Seriously)
    That one needs a serious fix.
    Here’s how I‘d do it:
    Lap 1: Route 3 with unique exit
    Lap 2: Route 1 (Why, well…)
    And Lap 3: Route 2R, an alternate being using 1R after the stadium
    And that’s it, sorry for the long comment, but thanks for reading!

    My prediction for Rome Avanti:
    Lap 1 -> RA 1
    Lap 2 -> RA 3
    Lap 3 -> mixed
    On lap 3 you take the first left after the finish line, just like RA3
    after the round about you go left like in RA1
    After that you will go from the RA1 alley to the stairclimb section from RA 2 ( like shown in the Pauline shot you mentioned in the trailer)
    After that you follow the entire remaining part of the RA2 course, and end up crossing the finish line coming from the other direction you started (that is the reason why this mixed lap must be the final lap)

  • @Miguel92398
    @Miguel92398 9 месяцев назад +2

    There are some inconsistencies with Madrid and Rome. I'll start with Madrid.
    In the teaser, it shows everyone bundled up during 2R's section. It couldn't be a final lap but potentially be the 2nd lap. Sure, one of the music will be locked behind the final lap. But not all songs in Mario Kart 8 got its own Lap 1-2 music (Mount Wario, Big Blue).
    As for Rome, if you slow down the video, you can see an arrow fence near the starting line at the roundabout. There are two implications:
    1. It is the first lap and you circle around Rome 2's small section to reach for the next lap
    2. A new Glider ramp that will flyover the arrow fence.
    I mean, they are no stranger to tweak the course's layout a bit like what they did to LA Laps and DK Mountain.
    Another in Rome is that you can see Yoshi pulling a mushroom in Rome 1 (one with Link). It is not possible to get a mushroom instantly on the first item box. So that means, we return back to Rome 1's route for the final lap. I say it as the final lap because of character consistencies. In one of the shots, you can see Daisy pulling a mushroom on Rome 3's section (during Pauline's trick animation). This is the same Daisy that got attacked at the end of the alleyway. Basically, three of the footage are connected to one another for Pauline. But as for Link and Yoshi, they appeared following Rome 3's route and turned right to the starting line. If you look closely, none of the drivers after the startling line turns but going straight. That's a transition to Lap 3.
    Basically, keep an eye of Pauline and Daisy for one part and Link and Yoshi for the other. And yes, Lap 1 might be too long.

      The racers being close together in the Madrid 2R footage doesn't really mean anything seeing as it's not at the beginning of the lap.

    • @Miguel92398
      @Miguel92398 9 месяцев назад

      @@NotCyanToad if you watch closely to the footage, Daisy pulled a mushroom less than a second after breaking the item box. The same goes to Yoshi. In fact, he used a mushroom while hitting the item box at the same time.
      Getting an item, whether it's a player or a CPU, always gets the items in more than a second or two, not half a second or less.
      The only clue is the mushroom flame trail. Mini turbo, drift boost, tricks, or even glider ramps don't leave a flame trail. The clue is the flame trail. If these item boxes are the first set, you SHOULDN'T have a flame trail at all.

    Here are the routes I believe will be taken:
    Piranha Plant Cove:
    Lap 1- Variant 1
    Lap 2- Variant 2
    Lap 3- Variant 3
    Madrid Drive:
    Lap 1- Variant 3
    Lap 2- Variant 1
    Lap 3- Variant 2R
    (I would not at all be surprised if they did 1-3-2R instead, however.)
    Rome Avanti:
    Lap 1- Variant 1
    Lap 2- Starts as Variant 2R, but then takes the same turn as 1 at the fork-in-the-road, then it briefly goes back to 2R at the roundabout before going to 2 (thus giving that one clip we see in the preview), then the turn that would normally lead into the area with the Fuzzies and Rocky Wrenches goes toward the finish line instead
    Lap 3- Variant 3
    (I also have another possible--and less repetitive--route for RA, which I will leave in the replies.)

    • @Frednickels
      @Frednickels 9 месяцев назад +1

      Rome Avanti:
      Lap 1- Variant 1, but there's a checkpoint that you would drive through after the roundabout near the colosseum (it would hang on an arch in an area not yet seen in any footage or photos), thus starting Lap 2
      Lap 2- Variant 1 would continue, but only until taking 2R at the roundabout (thus giving that one clip we see in the preview), which then leads into 2, then the turn that would normally lead into the area with the Fuzzies and Rocky Wrenches goes toward the finish line instead
      Lap 3- Variant 3
      (EDIT: I've just now noticed that the former predicted route for RA would make it longer than the other Tour city courses in MK8D, so this one seems to be the more likely option.)

    Rome Avanti should go like your first prediction, using Rome Avanti 1 for the first lap, Rome Avanti 2 for the second lap with the eastern lobe being driven in the opposite direction (The transition will be done by taking the southeast exit at the roundabout at la Piazza del Pópolo and the racers close off Lap 2 by taking the south exit when they get back to said roundabout.), and Rome Avanti 3 should be the final lap.
