    1. These women are INSANELY GORGEOUS. I’m intimidated 😅
    2. As a black woman, really glad to see that the beauty standard is expanding! Black women have been viewed as undesirable, ugly, too masculine, too dark, by so much mass media. Glad to see some dark-skin women get the love that they deserve!
    3. Yumi is right because God definitely has favorites 😭 But Yumi is honestly one of the prettiest people I have ever seen ever so idk what’s she’s talking about 🤔
    4. To answer about Melvnin’s hair/ kinky hair, you can wear a wig, perm your hair, or straighten it with heating tools (flat iron, hot comb, blow dryer)!

My first teenage crush was a black girl who befriended me. I remember panicking because her skin looked so beautiful and she was so full of life and laughter I just wanted to touch her. I didn’t of course, but it’s always been one of my favorite memories of her dancing around her bedroom and beckoning shy, conservative me to join. I have never understood the stigma.

Yumi could be a model bruh. Also seeing these kinds of videos is great also given the colorism in korean beauty standards.

I've noticed that Korean people on these channels call Black women "healthy-looking" and I think that is very wonderful 💖

The fact that Taeyoung and Yumi can be A-List models themselves just makes this video ten times better🥰 Much love to you two!

It’s wild how certain things that are common pop up in one’s body structure because of phenotypes. One i noticed as a black woman myself is that most of us naturally have longer legs and a shorter torso, while asians tend to have longer torsos and shorter legs. So i would assume even though blk female models are naturally just tall in general, their legs most generally look super long because of having shorter torsos. I noticed i even have this characteristic in my phenotype as well as most of the rest of blk people no matter where they are from.

It's nice that you chose to focus on dark-skinned black models, as regardless of their actual celebrity status, they often get the shorter end of the stick when it comes to appreciation from non-black people. I will say that besides Naomi Campbell, who is a true legend, I didn't know any of the other girls names, even if I have seen the face of the so-called "Black Barbie" before. You could have included models who are as legendary (or more) than Naomi Campbell such as Iman Bowie, Alek Wek, Grace Jones but I guess you're too young to have heard of them. As for the comments about their hair... Black people have curly hair? Yes and no. There isn't a single type of hair texture for the entire spectrum of black people. We're not a monolith. Most of those you displayed in your video, however, were not wearing their actual hair but rather wigs, hair extensions or weaves. This is one sad result of having to conform to european beauty standards 90% of the time to get work in the fashion industry. Some of us have hair similar to that of some Asian people (like my grandna who had hers down to her lower back), whether curly, wavy, frizzy or straight while others have hair textures ranging from coily and dry to tightly curled or fluffy like cotton. Some even have several textures fighting on a single head of hair... The fun we have... Nice video, though... 🙂

For once, a video that didn't focus on light-skinned black models and here you are... Tyra Banks sure was impossible to ignore in the mid to late 90s but she's several levels of problematic so I'm not sad they omitted her.

They are models. Unless a plus sized model the industry wants thin people to wear there products. People come in all different shapes and sizes in life though. That’s why it’s important not to base your value or beauty standards on what the fashion world promotes.

Why does Yumi always emphasizes on how she small is and other foreign girls are tall and stuff like that?🙄 Seems like she want to pay attention on how she’s tiny and cute and other girls are just big giants^^ We already got it, so please don’t emphasize attention on EVERY single video with foreign people🤨

Relaxxxxx she’s obviously just insecure about her height like LOTS of other people. She brings it up cause she’s envious that’s all😂 she’s not looking for attention or what some people like to call a “pick me”😭
