You're telling me this man dropped one video then disappeared? I need more content this was super well done
Unreal this guy drops a video that's practically perfect and then goes ghost it's so well done
2 things to improve this,
1. internalize some of the equipment
2. make the webcam location right in front of the face, makes it easier to not be disoriented based on the camera position
(This is speculation and also you do not have to do it and besides that that was a great build and that works well. The internalization of components is hard but it’ll help it be a little less clunky
Just switch off WiFi on that android device before starting that app, so the ad banner can't load in! 😉
airplane mode
@@BariumCobaltNitrog3n if your on ios
@@Doe312 no airplane mode on iPhone?
@@BariumCobaltNitrog3n idk is there airplane mode only on ios
@@Doe312 you lost me, never had an iPhone
How is it this is the only video you’ve ever uploaded? You’re a natural talent!
Badass. I made nightvision off a cheap Walmart camera and made my own ir flashlight but this is pretty badass. Good job man
How did you make your own ir flashlight?
@@treudden He probably took a flashlight case and did some electronic stuff on it, using an IR led.
@@theobserver2674 yeah i actually ended up doing that too lol!
Can you see microwave beams with this ?
@@chrisclark4112 nope, microwave is different from infrared. It has a longer wavelength.
Very nice dude, always to "make my own" and this vid has the most compact & cool lookin DIY goggles on RUclips
Wow! The best DIY Andoid/VR night vision project and video I have seen so far! Great work and exciting narrative.👍
Fucking awesome video mate!! You did a great job with the video production and explanation. i had no problem following along, and all your links were extremely helpful. It was pretty difficult to unscrew the lens from the housing, gotta be careful not to lift the glue. the IR filter shattered and and had to dig all the glass with a dental tool. also when reclipping the board to the usb make sure to put it in very straight, the pins are very easy to bend. i had to use the dental tool to get one of the pins back into position. haha you made it look a lil easier then expected. but the goggles work great. And im making a "regular vision version" for a cyberpunk costume. im so stoked i found this video. you're a genius!!
This is exactly what I was looking for! Subbed.
Brilliant and very nicely detailed on top of that!
Hello fellow scp fan
Very cool. I'm no good with tiny little detail work but I really would like to try this.
wow I'm in the first thousand subscribers. I love it man and great video production skills and all around video. this is awesome
Finally. A video on this and so professionally done.
Awesome and like that you talked it through unlike most folks that are lazy and expect you to read and just point at everything, and you explain everything. Awesome 👌
Please keep in mind that a lot of phones don't have OTG. Like the s4 mini and s5 mini. When that's the case you can't connect a usb device to your phone. You can try to remove the ir filter from the phone camera itself then. Which will make it less useful for everyday use, but your image will be a lot better. Most VR glasses have removable covers to use the phone for augmented reality.
when u play airsoft together with ur friends, and one of your friend is using a real expensive night vision goggles, and then he easily could just trace u from those infrared sights
to be fair real night vision is like $3k-42k and with this you at least get to see in the dark you'll just have to work around using the ir flashlight in exposed areas
Great job putting this together and showing each step and putting the links up. You could find a different camera with a wider fov and still use your same set-up. Do you know around how long your phone will stay charged? I know it will very from phone to phone. Keep up the good work!
i dont know how i just found out this channel. i look so much stuff like this. Awesome video. Subscribed :D
Fantastic project ! Thank you for sharing !
This is flippin awesome
GENIUS !"
THANK YOU FRIEND "
Looks better than many over $500 nvg. Definitely trhing this out
Nice! Thanks for that lesson.
What a brilliant idea, it works perfectly fine, surpassed my expectations. Thanks ! keep it up.
Keep making videos! You have so much potential!
Thanks ma😊
so no one sees the led light on camera ,put a small piece of black tape on it !
Dude, that was a great tutorial. Very awesome!
Dude where the folk did u learn this stuff from.. Its3a brilliant video my friend and thanks for this brilliant idea 💡
Great video! Thanks
Amazing!! Very ingenious 👌
Had to subscribe I told myself if the quality of his goggles came out good I would subscribe and so I’m a man of my word plus I hit the like and left this comment. Thanks guy it was educational
Marking the position of the lens will just get it back to the position where visible light is in focus. The IR will be out of focus with the mark at 12 o'clock. You should check the IR focus prior to fully reassembling the camera if you want the sharpest image!
Excellent, cheers from El Salvador!
Well done, Good attention to detail.
Great job Brother! Very cool
reeaaly nice video broo u have all my suport!! keep going!!!
Great video, ty. Can you record on the phone the video you are shooting via the webcam? Or would that record feature be through the Android App? Thanks!
well produced video, with good practical tips, thank you.
Bagels are good but I need a bandsaw also that's a pretty amazing video thank you
Really cool video. I have tested my webcam and it picks up IR light fine as It is. Does that mean that it doesn't have an IR filter, or does it have an IR filter and will be even better when removed? Thanks :)
Great idea! thanks for share
This is genius!
Great video, thanks!
perfect and clean :)
Thanks! Very useful!!!
This is sick. I'm totally going to make one out of a cheap Chinese br headset for android but for mine I'll set the camera between the eyes on the faceplate
There's a camera by Arducam that works with android. It's basically a sensor and sense on circuit board and has ir view out of the box and a 100⁰ fov.
I could tape it to the front of the vr headset instead of on top, so I wonder if it would work.
Great job man
That was awesome.
1000% agree this is awesome.
Great video. hows it holding up?
That's awesome job bro👍❤🌹😍
Cool stuff!
Great video…..thanks.
underrated channel
Works thanks so much!
Perfect Video, but I suspect you can use any Vr Googles for your phone right?
Brilliant 🙌
verrry cool!!!
Huge job dude, i'm gonna test it ASAP! :)
thats cool. thanks
Epic. Will do. The webcam and flashlight linked are both unavailable. I assume I can use another model? Very clear and easy to follow video, nice work.
¡ Thank you vm for your tutorial. It's useful and appreciate a lot. One question please ¿How many yards could be clear images in the night up to ? Health for you an yours !
Love this, check out "bird box cameras" super cheap IR focusable cameras. That simply does video out no need to modify a webcam. They have good refresh rates too
Thank you very much for confirming the possibility of a project i had in the back of my head from some time already. As a very humble contribution, allow me to share a little processing trick with the screws. Once you try to put them back to their place, just unscrew them instead of directly trying to screw. You'll feel the little click telling you the start of the guideline more easily. At least it works for me ;-)
Thanks again and, yes, you got a new subscriber !
Thanks!
Great vid.... just a thought... can you instead remove the IR filter in the camera of uou smart fone in that way its like you having an integrated system? Am i making sense to you? Thanks and good good luck bro....😁👍
I bought a similar webcam and flashlight online and modified a CVS vr headset.. holy shit its amazing! Thank you for this awesome video!
So cool good on you mate
Awesome! Will only work with Samsung?
Wowww classs thsnk you
Perfect
its mind blowing marvel
Very nice video. Yuri is very proudm
Good Job Brother...
This is really nice but I have only one question- what is the effective range of this system? For what I need it, range os vital.
Can you do a video with this setup looking at the stars please .
There is a connector on the GearVR that is supposed to connect you with the phone, i wonder if that's possible instead of unscrewing the whole headset
Very cool
Any alternatives to the VR goggles? Something more compact?
keep on going man
greetengs from vnzla
Good job I like it very good
Wow 👏
You forgot to say "bravo six going dark"😅
That goggles is so cool
That was cool
ขอบคุณครับ
Could you also make a video on making an thermal camera out of the same setup? It would really help in the current battle against covid
Lmao. Buy a thermal camera, that's it
CCDs in webcams cannot see the IR light required for thermal vision. As for thermal modules, I don´t know if those can be used in a different app other than their own which don´t have the 3D video option to use them in the binoculars
For the people that want to do this with an iPhone you can download the live streaming app prism live which lets you hook up a webcam to your phone you will hower need to use an different pair of gogels or you will need to modify the Samsung gear vr.
Bigfoot hunting gear! Awesome
Hi
1. Can we operate the webcam using the application ?
2. If not then if we have to run a app that require mobile camera for viewing, like an AR application, then will the external camera work ?
Nice teddy!!!!!!!
But is there a delay between you moving the head and actually seeing the image moving?
So what is the effective range of this setup, like 50 meters?
Bro, are thermal imaging sights expensive in your country?
ur superstar man
Do you think this would work for a FLIR set up? Obviously you wouldn't remove any of the lenses, but but would be cool to set up your FLIR this way.
Complete setup+the phone comes around $67 as of November 2019 if you want all of it from amazon. Not including tape or wide lens.
doubt youll reply because this comment is two years old but, what phone is used?
@@GeneralUgo use a old phone if you do
Dude uploads a SINGLE video and disappears for 5 years, amazing
Question do you know of what you can use to replace the wide-angle lens and the camera. Because the link won't work for the wide-angle lens and the camera is out of stock.
Dude a very clean video! Why did you only make one?!😢
I'm thinking of using a cctv led circuit part
