Kira deserves A LOT of recognition. Keep in mind that we are talking about a low-ambition villain made to replace no one other than Dio (one of the most beloved and popular villains in manga history). Although anyone would initially say that such a plan would be a narrative disaster, Kira turned out to be even better received than Dio.

I think it works perfectly because it goes from one extreme to another. A man who basically wants to rule the world as a godlike figure, VS a serial killer who only wants to live a quiet life.

Killer Queen, Third Bomb: EL THOR!
I always find interesting how a "strong" stand can loose to someone that can be defeaded by a "weaker" stand: for instance star platinum looses to sheer heart attack, sheer heart attack looses to echoes, echoes looses to killer queen and killer queen looses to star platinum.
I think it really shows how good araki is at creating interesting powers.

That’s a part of two fundamental things about how powers are usually best treated in a story
1. A specific power counters others, and in fact a specific use of a power can counter another even when it usually wouldn’t. In Araki’s case, that means a bunch of villains find ways to avoid the JoJo protag’s OP close range abilities, but the JoJo protags eventually find a way to get to the villain anyways.
2. Narrative is more important than power. Araki probably wasn’t thinking much about how cool and unstoppable Wonder of U, Golden Experience Requiem, or any other stand are, only what they represent (the undeniable power of fate, the triumph of restoring things to as they should be, respectively)
Imo it would be simpler to apply one piece logic to explain killer Queen.
Short and sweet, the same way the gum gum fruit turned luffy into rubber, killer queen turns things into bombs like the one guy in Barroque Works, but unlike that guy, you do blow up, every cell of your nody becomes explosive. You can't deflect or block the explosion because it's your own body exploding.
Shigechi survived one bomb because he
1- wasn't directly in contact with KQ's bomb (his stand was)
2- he wasn't the bomb himself but rather a coin
3- He had a "thick skull" that allowed him to survive the blast even if he was completely wrecked by it
Basically think of KQ first bomb as an awakening of the bomb bomb fruit

Also, keep in mind that Shigechi's stand is a colony: Shigechi takes only a portion of the damage each time one of them is hurt. And Shigechi's Harvest is among the most populous between Colony stands (that I know of, could be wrong), at 500 units.
Shigechi effectively took only 1/500th of Killer Queen's blast and it was enough to disfigure him and cause him severe brain damage. This is after Killer Queen crushed a couple of them with just its regular punches and did nothing to Shigechi. So yeah, the power that his explosions pack is something to behold, alright.
Ngl, it would be cathartic af if Vegeta, upon invading Earth with Nappa, encountered Kira and the killer subtly planted a bomb on the Saiyan while the latter mocked him for being "a pathetic, weak human." Without a doubt, a lesson in humility that the prince of the Saiyans would benefit from 👌

@@thedredayshow9246 The explosion from the bombs bypass durability and implodes the opponent from the inside. Characters like josuke and Jotaro who all around have stronger stands very easily can get killed from the explosions , during the entire arc Kira did his best to avoid those 2 specifically. There's also contact bombs where if he were to for instance shake someones hand or someone were to touch something he made into a bomb they'll explode. There's no warning no preparation nothing. Just vaporized.
Kira's bomb touch is kinda like an instant kill move in Guilty Gear. Scary and capable of turning seemingly impossible situations around, but good luck getting the conditions right to pull it off.
Although in Kira's case, he has the element of surprise which helps a lot.

Yes but he can only pass bites the dust to someone if he is completly cornered in terms of possibilitys and likely by the time he reaches that state in the fight there would probably be no one to pass bites the dust to, it isnt said but i belive he can only pass it if the target is touched by him like when he passed it to Hayato and was attempting to pass it to the nurse so i believe it is impossible or very unlikely to pass it to his oponent
He did attach it to the nurse. He wasn't able to activate it manually because Jotaro broke his thumb. For Kira to activate bites the dust he must put killer queen on someone and then active killer queen.

BTD is pretty situational since a bystander needs to say his name in order to activate his ability.

Kira would actually be able to take out a lot of hero characters because he is so unsuspecting so if he was to meet for example vegeta at like a capsule corp party one handshake would seal this fight before there was one to happen. As long as he does not reveal himself as a threat he is dangerous to most shonen heroes due to their willingness to trust a random person off the street.
Correction: Killer queens bombs aren't conventional bombs, but incendiary ones, because they require air to be able to detonate. Episode 30 shows this very clearly. Kira's bombs aren't an instakill as well since Kira decides how fast the target blows/burns up, but its never shown whether the can blow up instantly. I personally think he can't since when Kira placed a bomb on Okuyasu and Hayato touches him, Joskue is fast enough to fix Hayato form the detonation. There's no logical reason to not make it an instakill one, unless he's unable to do so. So characters who have basically instant regeneration are more or less safe.
I am really curious as to how would this scenario work exactly? Would Killer Queen able to just turn the part that regenerates characters with strong self-regeneration into a part of his bomb too? And How does that work? I mean, if you keep in mind that it was Josuke's Crazy Diamond that restored Hayato, not Hayato himself.

@nnnnmhughuuhhjiijj9457 , I think the answer that Crazy Diamond specifically reverses an object or persons condition to a previous one, he reverted Hayato to pre bomb detonation.

I don’t think that meant the stand had the potential to gain more uses but that had the potential to cause more and more damage due to the infection aspect.
Kira lost because he got overconfident and literally went mad with power, because he got backed into not just a corner but a box for the only time in his life and than got a free out that made him a time traveler, so of course he got a god complex and started playing with his power... than boom wrong place wrong time.

Kira is for me like a Batman ( i know, weird but hear me out) give him prep time and i am pretty sure he can beat Jotaro, Diavolo, Dio ect. Its not that good fighting stand ( its still fantastic but not that good) but if Kira used it better, like more running away, placing random bombs and just being smarter. Kira is smart, actually super smart. But i think his personality is the main problem of his fighting capability.

This is a good example of how Stands often produce rock, paper, scissors scenarios, both internally and compared to other universes. JoJo relies almost exclusively on hax and not on straight power or speed, and the right hax can easily counter a wide variety of otherwise incredibly strong opponents.
More equalized fights would be nice
This is a hypothetical character here but if pure Vampire DIO had The World he could easily be one of strongest characters in the verse, the crazy durability and regeneration as well as his Vampiric strength and abilities, paired with The Worlds Time stop and speed, strength and precision would make for a truly terrifying version of DIO.
Especially since it’s very likely because DIO is a pure vampire and even stronger than his body in part 3 he would probably have a significantly longer Time Stop perhaps it starts at 8 seconds instead of 5.
That would be interesting to see.

TBF, his hax would definitely make it difficult for the OP universe (especially given the average OP character having an IQ of 70 is a genius whereas a JJBA character is an idiot if their IQ is under 150), that OP stand is still attached to an otherwise fragile human. He might have to contend with too many moving pieces at places like Marineford or Wano to keep up with. Remember that he was very cautious in part 4 of getting caught BEFORE knowing other people had stands or could even see his powers. Now, as a member of CP9 or 0, yeah, Luffy might be SOL against Kira, even with Joyboy, but that’s because those organizations specialize in the same thing Kira does - 1v1 assassinations (though there are exceptions like Rob Lucci). Pucci, on the other hand… yeah he solos. FV and Tooru oddly enough are debatable. What’s even crazier is Pucci might be unstoppable in Narutoverse, but Tooru might not be as there’s already a character whose powers function like WoU.
one thing you're forgetting about kira actually fighting someone powerful, is that there very likely just wouldn't be a fight as kira would either simply avoid a conflict entirely OR, if he decides that a certain powerful individual needs to be eliminated, he would try to find a way to kill his target via a trap.
essentially if kira decided that goku needs to die for some reason, then there wouldn't be a fight because by the time goku even leaves his house, killer queen has already touched the doorknob and boom he goes.
Kira has a unique capability that if he has at least some prep time *or* a first shot, he wins, guaranteed. He just needs that contact. That is his downfall. A stand like Tusk Act 4, another oneshot ability, has range, speed, and more intelligence. Yes, Tusk also needs that first hit for a swift victory, but he can actually *get* the first hit(and even if he doesn't he can take some hits), whereas Killer Queen can't. Just because Kira _can_ kill Kars, that doesn't mean he will.
bites the dust works with people who are not hayato, the only thing it needs to be activated is; the person does not have a stand/ kira is pushed into a corner. the target also needs to know who he is.

Valentine is another character with durability negation as well as a lot more way better movement options like going between dimensions and is even basically invincible if we give him love train. He's kind of the best combo with kiras ap and jotaros maneuverability (maybe better)

One I’d like to see you do is Kurama vs Kira (equalized stats obviously) due to Kurama fighting someone with similar abilities during the dark tournament
maybe you could have fun with graphics and meters if you use 100 points and distribute them at will in any number of individual stats. They can have any number of special abilities but if an ability makes a stat stronger it can only get as strong as 200 points and wierdos like GER and Kira can set enemy stats to 0 or set their health to 0.
Top tier one piece characters probably can negate killer queens bombs. We saw law unable to teleport kaido and big mom and law negating sick sick fruit

I think when it comes to cross verse battles, always bet on meme stands. Like if I'm correct, Superfly just ignores strength, the only way I can think you could do anything is if you just don't get stuck or have the user close enough to take him out, or maybe teleportation but that too can't be confirmed.
It should also be noted that the bomb seems to destroy the characters soul as well as shown with shigechi, soul breaking apart on the way to heaven. This is just a headcanon so take it with a grain of salt.
I have had this theory on how Kira could use Bites The Dust himself - we saw in the final part of the fight that he did put Bites The Dust on the woman... While Killer Queen stayed out.
Now we can't know since he obviously didn't get a chance to use it, but based on how he acted, I feel like this is the "second" way to activate Bites The Dust:
First being, he attaches Bites The Dust on someone else, and that person will automatically blow up anyone who finds out about Kira, and goes back in time one hour.
Second is Kira activates it himself manually like he would the primary bomb, and goes back in time himself - obviously exchanging the guranteed automatic destruction of his enemies with knowledge of the next hour and the ability to change his "fate"
I feel like a better figther would make second way work a lot better but Kira is as he said not a fan of fights.

i would like to talk about how evolved stands work, they usually don't actually retain their original abilities when they evolve, that is something that is thus far unique to GER.
because bites the dust does NOT retain the ability to turn objects or people into bombs by touching, it's just that Kira retains the ability to summon regular killer queen when he is not using bites the dust.
in much the same way how echoes works, act 3 can not use the abilities of act 1 or act 2, but koichi retains the ability to summon act 2 and act 1 in situations where their abilities would be more useful.
i also firmly believe that, if polnareff had mastery over silver chrriot requiem, he would still be able to summon regular silver chariot if he so desired.
thus it stands to reason that, while made in heaven can't do the disc thing, pucci could chose to summon whitesnake (or c-moon for that matter) instead, should he find himself in a situation where doing so would be advantageous.

Killer Queen, simplified, is the same type of stand as Rohan Kishibe's Heaven's Door, but he can only change and write "turns into a fcking bomb" into people and things instead of being able to write anything into them like Rohan did with Koichi and just wrote "knows Italian" before he traveled to Italy to meet Giorno in part 5.
Hey Kaleb, I just finished a re-watch of part 4 with one of my friends who's super critical of fights and when we were watching I made a specific note of this. Don't the things that Kira turns into bombs not take any damage? The 100 yen coin he tossed at shigekyo was fine after the explosion, The doorknob was still there after the explosion, The bowling pin nail clipper was in tact too. I believe that the hands being 'vaporized' it more of a controlled explosion of something like the ring on its finger than the hand itself being exploded into nothingness. If that were not the case I'm not sure why they felt the need to point out that he placed the bomb in Hayato's hair and not just that he made Hayato the bomb in the pre-Bites The Dust sequence. Anyway thanks for reading out my thoughts on the matter, love the videos and cant wait to see more of the JoJo's talk with other popular media.

They both have very similar abilities and Asa is sort of like Yuji with both having another devil inhabiting in her body, so an actual person who can harm Mahito.
Kira doesn’t need Hayato. He can put any non-stand user into the loop (as he tries to do with the lady) although it seems like any opportunity he would have to do that he could just as easily use the first bomb
he needed to get rid of all the people there, and that was the only option.
first bomb only works on contact and can only take out one person at a time.(it can do more if it is person against person, but at that stage nobody would get close as yosuke and hayato know how it works.
Finally some respect
A lot of matchups I see in vs debates only equalize speed, since thats a minimal change that can prevent a stomp (assuming they both have win conditions). Though equalizing all stats does make for an interesting fight since its more about abilities, weapons, fighting skill, and intelligence, which may be more fun to analyze since a fair amount of only speed equalized fights end in one shots due to overwhelming power or hax.

In One Piece funny enough Moria would probably be the end of Kira. I think everyone until that point he may have been able to trick into touching him. But remember, Luffy couldn't even touch Moria until he got Nighmare Luffy. And Moria actually has some of the best planning feats in One Piece. He defeated the monster trio with his spider zombie traps, before they even knew they were in danger.

Biggest problem with this vs dragon ball is its shown that if you are strong enough you can survive exploding/self destruction. SsbE vegeta vs toppo or ss4 goku vs super 17. Its possible of they are turned to bombs the body will still survive

Killer Queen could definitely one shot; but Goku would also definitely be able to see KQ.
Between the third eye training in Dragon Ball, the “saiyan super senses” in Z picking up the physical movements of stands, or the fact that by super he can predict/react/break *stopped time* - getting that touch is gonna be HARD.

If you are talking about DBS Goku then no, Goku has gotten to the point that he can literally negate logic by powering up, as we saw with Jiren literally destroying time itself to escape Hit's attack (this is before he goes full power btw), he could literally go "Wow, that turn things into bombs ability almost got me!" and then proceed to destroy Kira

rohan is not really situational, people need to be reseptive to it to activate, and after the introduction he only needs to draw something in the air real quick, and the "receptive" part does not even factor in anymore because even animals van be taken down by it.

You could say he needs a sample to get it right but that shouldn't be hard. He's shown to be able to do supernatural abilities such as hamon. I mean, Jotaro has feats against beams of light that'd translate directly to Borsalino. OFC neither character even scales to anything close to c(with the exception of timestop) since light travelling through air is vastly slower than the speed of light in a vacuum and any jojo scalers that claim ftl just pretend special relativity doesn't exist because power scalers are fucking stupid
@@donovangunther4538 well for one piece, travel speed doesn't make sense but pre timeskip characters were able to see attacks from light speed characters (kizaru) coming. Luffy post timeskip in the first arc dodged 3 lasers modeled after kizarus (lightspeed) fruit and said they were "too slow" he was then having trouble keeping up with Doflamingo who was just faster until he got gear 4th to blitz him from several miles away, he was then heavily blitzed by Kaido several times even when he unlocked his new transformation. And now he's having a hard time keeping up with Kizaru.

If a character has a "combat speed" "calculated" to 298,000,000ms^-1, that character getting "speed blitzed" by another character who appears to be double the speed is NOT EVEN SLIGHTLY CLOSE to possessing a combat speed of 596,000,000ms^-1, it's more like 299,000,000ms^-1. Of course something like observation haki seeing into the literal future is a very sound explanation of any light speed "reaction times"

On kira or ger vs goku, that just wouldn't work, goku already surpassed things such as hakai and can shatter dimensions with punches, can beat people who posses i quote "power beyond time" and apparently hax gets negated by ki in db if you are more powerful than your opponent

I feel like equalized what ifs are almost pointless. The whole idea of a fight is to see if a character can do well against a character from a franchise that scales way higher and do it realistically, so even if we agree that Kira can just ignore durability you shouldn't give him the perfect scenario to win like for example kira > superman million,because he will just pretend that he is a fan and while shaking superman's hand he sneakily turns him into a bomb and kill him.. those are just funny what ifs,if it's a versus then they both should take the fight seriously and see how it goes..

Yes he can. When he fully disintegrates someone he’s turning them into a bomb (like the jerk from the subway),and non-stand users can’t see or hear the explosion.
When he turns an object into a bomb though they get more typical “explosion” injuries (like with Jotaro or The Kitchen explosion) and non-users seem like they *might* be able to notice something.
It gets a little confusing bc he can shift the bomb from one to another; but Shigechi got both anyways so RIPP.
He turned that girls boyfriend into a bomb by touching his face. Kira can turn living things into bombs, but he doesn't do it a lot because most people don't have a lot of exposed skin, so it's easier to just turn their clothing into a bomb.
