In the arcade there were no such glitches as I recall. Amazing how 20+ years had passed and still I recognize the characters and the spots you crouch on the truck, the sighs of the enemy and boss... Damn the human mind.

The boss at 9:09 was a clone of Road Warrior Hawk. Not just the face paint, but in the early Road Warriors days, I remember Hawk throwing a pretty mean dropkick. The days of playing this and Double Dragon in Putt-Putt Golf and Games puts a tear in my eye... Hell it puts more than one tear in both my eyes. Wrestlefest, Double Dragon, Castlevania, Bad Dudes, and a few years later TMNT:Turtles in Time. There are so many O am missing. My Grandmother used to tell me that I used so many Quarters at the arcade, that the man driving around in his Cadillac was able to buy an extra one because of me :)

The Dave & Busters, Chuck E Cheese token-needed game rooms never came close to a REAL arcade room with 60+ games & 25+ pinball machines that took quarters. 😮
For 1988, these digitized voice clips are incredibly clear. Most games around this period, if they have digitized sounds at all, tended to be really muffled and hard to make out. Compare games like Splatterhouse or Gauntlet to Bad Dudes and the sound quality is night and day.
Gotta love this game. If you try to think about it and write some kind of a story, it's complete nonsense. First stage -- the president got kidnapped on some street in a beat-up part of town. Second stage -- the president might be in this convoy. Third stage -- he's in the sewers? Next he's in the woods! Now he's on a train in the Southwest! The Arcade is a forgotten American relic. Arcades were so fucking cool and anyone not old enough to have ever gotten to experience one during their heyday really missed out and has no idea how culturally significant they were when they were big here in the states. Its nice to know that Arcades still somewhat thrive in Japan but its sad that here in the states the Arcade is dead. Modern gaming has ushered in a lot of great new things but at the expense of other things that were lost and can never be replaced.
