Honestly I think this concert was probably one of the best ones in my opinion. Vince's voice sounded pretty good. Guitar tone was also super raw, really pushing it out.
NO WAY! Best tour they ever did was Shout at the Devil. TOP was a GREAT album, they just made a bad decision covering and releasing Smokin in the Boys Room. The TOP was AWESOME because it was 85% left over Shout demos. For me, MC died right when the song came on the album. The first two tunes off GGG were AMAZING and then this song came on and the albm was DEAD. You're All I Need was great but overall, this album SUCKED. Then the next album, the title track was AWESOME (Feelgood) and then the ONLY thing I liked after that was the cover of Teaser.
He's the biggest factor I believe in what Mötley Crüe came to be. Here's the proof, listen to any of hte member's solo work, and none comes even close to resembling the Crüe's work like Vince's does. He stayed true to the essence of Rock N Roll and what Mötley Crüe were about.
Why "Wild Side" was released as a single over this song, I'll never know. I remember buying this CASSETTE in 1987, when the only idea you had about what an album might sound like or when it was coming out was reading "Hit Parader" and hearing the first single/video on rock radio or MTV...and when I heard this song I was like holy sheet, this just kills it!
This has always been one of my favorites although does not have much popularity. I remember when I was at one of their shows on the Dr. Feelgood tour. Was simply awesome!
Sixx no doubt was shooting up speedballs while playing live this tour. no way he'd have this much energy with just heroin alone. and damn he kicks ass!
Those double kicks from Tommy 🤘🏿🤘🏿 this is the perfect live performance of this song; just so much more extra and their sound was TIGHT and just as good (better imo) than the studio recording.
I noticed that Vince "Peeled off", and went iff ro the side of the Stage, along about mid-song. Those two Ladies took over the vocals...and really kicked out the jams, baby! They sounded GREAT!!! My question is:Where did Vince go for so long? Maybe the bathroom? I dunno.....
@@dampcarpet2607 A restaurant or something didnt have Vince's favorite mustard and he hit the mustard jar they had against a wall and it shattered in his hand.
the greatest hard rock band ever, they did it, they lived it, they still rock hard. kizz is great but come on, simmons don't even drink beer, his family jules bullshit made kiss look weak, Vince is a great front man, the crue always hav a good time.
I remember the Metallica snobs that would talk shit about groups like Crue, GNR, Skid Row and Ratt. "Oh, Metallica is so much harder to play, so much more technically superior." Ok, bro...I will take the Pepsi Challenge any day of the week with songs like Wild Side, Dancing on Glass, Shout at the Devil, Looks That Kill, Red Hot, and Take me to the top.
man, i was only 7 at the time i was a crue head since 1983's shout at the devil i had the girls album used to crank that shit on my "fisher price record player {not afraid to admit it} good times, but look how fucked up the band was damn i have read all the books especially nikki's book heroin diaries i didn't know how strung out he was i used to look up to him as a kid but now i respect him
The music was so much better when bands were loaded & went into studios laid down bad*as content & then went on your and killed everyone they played for. Classic heroin song thanks Nikki I love this song as much as you did heroin at a point
What do you mean lightweight? I love his way of singing during the Girls Girls Girls period, both on record and live. The voice is strong, raw and his in pretty good shape so he does it very well live.
I hear so many "journalists" talking about how Guns n Roses brought back the balls and sleaze to rock n roll during this era. Seems evident to me that these people are forgetting that Crue were were the professors teaching class nightly!! I love GnR but nobody was nastier than Motley fucking Crue!!
@danimal97520 Definitely agree with that . I saw them on there uk tour recently in birmingham and it was there first date on the tour and vince sounded better than i've ever heard him , not much can be said for all the other dates.
_love this song...Mick Mars' signature sound_
Tommy Lee is a f****n machine...Groove machine. I love that guy and his drumming. Old Mötley was groove and hammer when new is just hammer.
+Pantherace Agreed. He was the real (musical) backbone of MC.
mick is a better musician than tommy tho, they both were the backbone
Agreed, Marto Graves. Tommy and Mick CARRIED this band live.
Yeah they always done the business on stage
Not to mention his legendary schlong....
The band is killing it here but Mick's playing of this riff and his tone is just fucking monstrous.
I can not explain how much I love the back vocals!
Micks wife.
Honestly I think this concert was probably one of the best ones in my opinion. Vince's voice sounded pretty good. Guitar tone was also super raw, really pushing it out.
Mick. That tone.
All about the tone!!
The drumming on this album is amazing
Tommy looks high as fuck! Lol...
cuz he wrote the song \../
Agreed! 100%
Is it not? Simply amazing! The old Crue really had it. I feel girls girls girls and theater were the best LPs ever!
tommy is awesome always
87 was the best time for Motley. Right in the slot.
+bigmaxy07 Yeah, but Vince sounds like a high school girl singing karaoke. He looked great but had a weak voice and only sung well in the studio.
bigmaxy07 too bad Nikki died that year

Yep because the album girls girls girls came out in 87
so far apart from other '80s hair bands' so many solid tunes on this record. The height of Motley
One of the best Crue songs honestly. Probably my favorite off of the Girls album
The background girls singing are awesome..
Who is still here who loves Motley Crue oh hell yeah😎🤗🤗🥰
Dude I have been loving Motley Crue since 1983.
WHY else would we be here? Clown
2024
say what you want about Vince, motley crue is not motley crue without him
That s right i agree
I've always believed that. Any song without Vince isn't Mötley Crüe
Thats right i agree
@@nikkiboy731 i agree with you. i like hooligans holiday............would love to hear vince sing it instead.

One of the best Crüe's songs ever \m/......
\m/
Hmmmm, some very strange chords here. That was them though, trying new arrangements.
Definitely not one of their strong ones, nor single material.
@@normturner4849you’re joking right? I don’t even like Mötley that much and this song is amazing this should’ve been a single for sure
Mick Fucking Mars, god dammit I love the guitar on this song!!!

My fave song from ggg album is wild side but I like dancing on glass and sumthin for nuthin much better than girls girls girls
DUUUDE Hit Parader! Man I forgot all about that! Haha your comment just brought on a ton of nostalgia pre-WWW lol
@@BillBraskyy The good old days, right? I'd give anything for the time machine!
Maybe because wild side is on girls girls girls
@@ScottRoofwalker Ummmm.....so is Dancing on Glass. Duh.
those girls can singggg !! :D great band & show !
They're better than Vince
@@arthurbishop3173 YEAH!!!
Mick and Tommy are fkn monsters. So much groove and rhythm
They’re kinda the foundation of the band honestly
One of my favorite songs and albums. I've always been a fan of Mick Mars. His sound is awesome.
Wow they fucking killed it this show! This must be one of Vince's best performance!
Not saying much then
Oh i miss the 80's
"Im no Puppet, engrave my veins in style"
Such a wicked lyric
I was 12 and this was my first CRUE show here in Tacoma WA
One of Mick Mars best riffs. I love it ❤️
OMG THE BACKUP SINGERS SOUND LOOK AMAZING
What an absolute banger of a song 🤘🏻 definite time travel gig to see this live
NICE BACKGROUND VOCALS!!!
Motley Crue will never get old!
Rock n Roll will never get old
Vince's voice was way better back then! I wish he still sang like this
SOCIETYDWELLIN GIFD he gained weight
He gained weight only a few years after
Age usually plays a factor in life unfortunately
@@idonteperfect6943 *_weight isn't the whole reason, theirs plenty of overweight singers._*
Basically the song of my life. Love it!
I've always loved this song, though my fav album is Shout At The Devil
Would love to know the guitar rig and pedals to get that heavy but fuzzy sound. Kicks ass.
Tommy Lee seriously killing it on the drums all through the whole song
💙💜💚❤️
This has always been one of my favorites although does not have much popularity. I remember when I was at one of their shows on the Dr. Feelgood tour. Was simply awesome!
Absolutely LOVE the Crüe 4 eva!!!!!
Thanks for posting this! Nice version. Hard to find this one live.

A fucking legend you mean 🤣
It was a sign of things to come. Vince would have many wars with food in his lifetime.
My favourite Crue song, most meaningful for me
If it weren’t for Vince it would be hard to tell this isn’t off the record. Mick always sounds just as good live as he does in the recording studio.
Think it's my favourite 👌👌👌💯💯💯
Those chicks were so awsome
I saw these guy in concert 3 times first time was girls, girls, girls
Mick is the best

STREETERBOYZOUTDOORS I don't know if they're the best hard rock band ever. But they sure were the best one of the 80s. Right up there with Guns.
STREETERBOYZOUTDOORS totaly agree with you
Seem them live. Amazing
such a pretty performance attitude, glam on boys
One of the many songs the Crue seperated themselves from the rest....couple chics singing badass chorus! hell to the yeah! Rock on
Had to watch this one more time!
ciao JOE SIXX this is for you wherever you are now see you in haven one day
Love this band
I love this song. I just enjoyed the hell out of listening to the recorded version. Then I listened to this, and threw up.
bet you the engineer sittin' in the back knew EXACTLY how high he was. if that bass was any lower in the mix you wouldn't hear it.
When they were the best!
Rock'n'Roll was a funny thing because this. Motley Crue smash!!!
mick mars eu te amo

Tommy Lee is the Man 🤟🏻
To be fair. He doesn't sound that different from the other videos. He just has a little more breath.
