"i do wish that they could just get the access to healthcare that they 'desperately need', and a sense of community". calling them weirdos and all sorts of other insults. im not equating one to the other but its unhelpful and childish, can we just say these common sense things without backhanded insults? why do people feel the need to call destiny a rabid sociopath? maybe he is one but lets leave clinical language to clinicians. why not remove the 'desperately need' part and make a serious effort to lead by example? i think maybe people would actually take it to heart if they got the sense that care and concern was genuine. see this stuff all the time in my personal life in a lot left wing communities and just among very social people. people who are educated and understand mental health problems really well and when i've behaved poorly out of ignorance (i've been insensitive about people who identify as non-binary or who are queer for example) people use their social capital to exclude and isolate me. the people who provide actual care to me are often really problematic people (racist, bad towards women things like that) which then reinforces my ignorance about peoples personal struggles. so i keep fucking up and keep getting excluded and isolated and i find myself left with friends who are social outcasts surrounded with drugs crime and toxic relationships.

I tend to agree with some of destinys takes but man he is leading a sad life. Hassan at least touches grass on a regular basis.
I like Destiny and his content. For the most part, I also like his outlook and agree with most of his takes.
But can't stand the community. Granted, I'm not a part of and avoid all political streamer communities. But Destinys community in particular left an extra sour taste in my mouth many times after I visited his reddit. I'm going to be honest though, Hasans and Vauchs community too for that matter also is filled with unhnged tankies et.c. Even if I enjoy the content of these creators as much.

I now am what you'd describe "a tankie", but I think that it needs more nuance to understand the "tankie logic". Basically, once we have our socialist utopia, we would need something to defend this (so some form of prisons, armies and speech regulations would have to be put in place) - liberal democracies have armies and prisons, authoritarian dictatorships have too - so to be against socialism being defended, but is okay when every other government does it, is just hypocritical (this would still make more of a "libertarian socialist", since while I want a free society, I believe in the paradox of intolerance, and therefore, at least some state oversight, even if small).

Basically they got into it about the primary debates prior to the 2020 election. From there it devolved into a completely rat-fucked situation because they both have main character syndrome from being extremely popular streamers who think they are the end all be all of political discourse.
There is more nuance to it than that, and I would argue their relationship started to fester before that. But that was really where things completely went off the rails. With that being said I think Destiny has some valid criticisms of Hasan, and vice versa. It would generally be better for the left if they could bury the hatchet, but I don't see that ever happening since they are both S+ Tier drama farmers.
