I just moved from AZ and I agree. Especially because AZ is so close to being not just a purple state, but a full on blue state. The governor is Democratic, both Senators are about to be Democratic, and right now the state legislator Republicans only hold a 1 seat majority in both the Senate and House. This is after decades of deep red control which absolutely hollowed out education. And the Republicans in AZ aren't your run of the mill Republicans. They're so far right that Jeff Flake, formerly considered one of the most conservative members of the GOP, is viewed as a RINO. It's all Jane Brewers, Kari Lakes, and the corpse of Joe Arpaio which have taken over the AZ GOP. It really makes voting for the centrist Democratic options a no brainer. Since yeah, they may not be great but they're infinitely better than the alternative.
