  • This is a short video about how I used my slimline personal Lockwood #Filofax on a recent trip, combining my wallet, planner and travel document holder into one. I hope you find it useful.

Wow-very efficient! I tried taking a smaller planner with me when I went on a vacation last year and ended up wishing I had brought my regular planner with me.

I find it really depends on your needs and plans during the trip, and on the way your brain functions! If you need your whole planner for ''brain peace'' , then take it by all means :)

Thank you very much for sharing. I currently using a pocket planner after personal size for years and I was loving the pocket size, but I’m thinking about switching again for compact size. Even if it’s a little bit bigger, it’s so much slimmer and potentially lighter. I need a planner / wallet so I will considering this one. Could you please consider a full video about how you use your calipso ?

The slimline is definitely a lot slimmer and I believe that even if stuffed, it is a lot lighter than a pocket. A compact may also be as long as it's not overstuffed. I definitely want to do a video on my Calipso but it will have so much personal info covered with sticky notes, that I always end up putting it off, sorry. I hope it'll upload it soon. Thanks for watching!

I agree it's not easy at all. I was lucky and found it at a very good price on eBay. I think the cognac is the easiest to find, but I am currently looking for the aqua :)

Hi! thanks for your video. I was pondering whether you have any issues with the pen loop in Lockwood Slimlines?
I am planning to order one of these but I see a lot of negative comments about the planner not being able to close properly caused by the pen loop located too close to the rings.
    Thank you for your reply!

@Bekbolot Kabylov Do you mean too close to the dividers/tabs? Yes, the pen loop is too close and will bend/touch them; the pen will get in the way and the planner will not close properly. This is due to the slimline models being less wide than the personal models. I do not like pen loops either way and almost always remove them, but one solution could be to attach the pen by its clip to the pen loop so the pen sits right in in the middle when closed. Another solution is to add a pen holder wherever suits you as well. Hope this helps :)

@@ThePlannerProject my bad, yes, issue was that the pen loop located too close to tabs.
Thanks a lot! You cleared up my concerns! And thanks for the solutions!!!

thank you for showing this. Would you recommend it to a man, carrying it in the inner breast pocket of the jacket, like an ordinary wallet? thanks

I definitely would, especially for jackets and coats. You may also want to look into the Napa, which has thinner leather that the Lockwood, so it may actually be even lighter. If you have a John Lewis around you, you may be able to see them on display and then you can compare the leathers and the weight. Maybe also look into the pocket sizes of these models, which I think would be more suitable to carry in the pocket of a shirt or a pair of pants. Good luck :)
