    Thanks! Just watched the Grafting stockingnette stitch in 2 pieces. I have been doing Kitchener stitch for a number of years, using various other instructions. I was blanking today , and pulled this up - having gotten used to your quality - this makes me think I may have been doing it wrongly in past projects. So clear with each detail...Thank you so much. The cleanest graft I’ve ever done.

    This is by far the best tutorial video I’ve seen on the Kitchener graft stitch. Now I just have to figure out how to safe it for future reference. Thank you so very much.

      You can create your own RUclips playlist of videos that you like, so that you can find them later. I also keep links to my videos from my Ravelry group.

    Thought sweater-making days were behind me but was feeling the urge to create something so did variation of Rav cardi pattern which challenged some long-forgotten skills. Added afterthought pockets which would hang loose on the inside, and old knitting books weren't as helpful as hoped for grafting them to the body. Mission accomplished with help from your video. Thanks. (Former Minneapolitan for many decades. Certain all the knit shops I frequented, way back when, are long gone.)

    Thank you so much for your techniques. I watched another video about the Kitchener stitch and was totally confused. I try to follow the directions as close as possible and I got a poor result. With your instructions I do the grafting as you described but your helpful tips on how to read the work will help me remember this grafting technique in the future.

    Thank you for your terrific tutorials! Please consider doing a grafting tutorial for reading stitches for stitch patterns that aren't all stockinette, like 2X2 rib or seed stitch or basket weave. And for pattern stitches, should the graft row that is created actually be the last row of the pattern stitch?

    Absolut großartig. Jetzt verstehe ich diese Technik. Und ich finde sie überhaupt nicht mehr kompliziert. Vielen Dank !!!

    Thanks. Could you please show grafting when you have a combination of knit AND purl stitches? I have a piece that is a cowl and it needs to be grafted. It has 5 knit stitches followed by 5 Purl stitches across the piece. I have not been able to figure out how to neatly graft them together.

    Hello. I just love your videos - they are so informative and easy to follow. Can you tell me - what do you recommend for a shoulder seam? A three needle bind off or a graft?

    • @RoxanneRichardson
      @RoxanneRichardson  2 года назад +1

      3NBO. A graft will give the shoulders as much stretch as the rest of the fabric, which sounds great, but is not. You need more stability at the shoulders, because the entire weight of the garment hangs from those seams. You don't want the shoulders to stretch, because then they'll slide down your arms.

    Love your videos Roxanne. I learn so much every time. I assume you don’t use your Facebook for knitting, because I friend requested you and you did not accept. Either way keep up the amazing work. 😀

    • @RoxanneRichardson

      I use Facebook mostly for friends and family. I do have a Facebook page for knitting that is separate, but it's a public page, and you can find a link to it at the bottom of any of my video descriptions. I mostly post to that page when I've uploaded a new video. Once in a while I post something else. Most of my knitting activity is on Ravelry.

    I just watched an older vid of yours, and I tried to figure what it was that made you look so different.... ruling-out that your conniving twin had sneaked in to upload. Turns out, it’s your body-language ... you’ve developed a different‘carriage’ along the way. Sneeeeeeeaky. That’s what I say. Sneeeeeeaky.
