I am so glad I found you. A lot of podcasters show their completed objects, and that is fine, but doesn't help me learn. I am so hungry to learn. Your podcast goes far beyond that in that you are patiently teaching us the ins and outs of knitting techniques (and maybe crochet too. I don't know because I just found you,) but anyway I will be riveted to all your podcasts and search the previous ones too. I also enjoy how you share the history of the stitches. Yours is the best podcast I have found. You know, when I younger I paid for someone to teach me the basics of knitting. How times have changed! If you show your finished objects I will enjoy that too, but I am delighted that you share/teach your skilled techniques! Yay! Cynthia
Lordy, I KNEW I was a visual learner but never realized how bad I was without visuals. I've been mulling over all the joining techniques ever since you first discussed the Finchley manual and the Finchley graft and had a gazillion questions, but after this video, I'm all "questioned out". No dumb questions, no smart questions, I get it now. I also now know I have spatial flexibility. My family has always called it something else, but I like this better. Thank you.
Amazing, as always! I use the portuguese method , so i prefer kniting the wrong side facing me. Never tried finish my projects the wrong side , now I know how to. Thank you.

I often find myself on the thin edge of comprehending how Kitchener grafting relates to flat knitting (or something other technique), but then my mind recoils and I'm left to memorize the steps. Having a glimpse of that spacial ability and losing it is very frustrating. On the other hand, I've heard of mattress stitch, but related it to hand sewing. I was so wrong!
