since this video is doing pretty well, thought i'd make a little challenge? If this video hits 20k views, I will suffer and try to play Dark Souls 1 to the best of my abilities lol

I hope you get it. Yes, you will struggle. But it's all worth it in the end. Also, its kinda like archeology of a sort. Time is complicated in FromSoftware titles. But trying to piece together these mysteries yourself with environmental storytelling clues and item descriptions is so much fun. At least it was for me.

I feel like the whole hate of Reaction content comes from 2015-2018 where reactions were basically a dude sitting in the corner not saying absolutely anything. Then saying "Ok that was it guys subscribe". The landscape did change a lot, and it is a lot more entertaining and interesting when we got a perspective from someone with experience in a related field.

    • @conspiracypanda1200

Very true. There was also (and still are) issues with reaction channels uploading reactions to RUclips videos. If a "reaction" is made to a brand new RUclips video then it is basically a reupload. This severely strangles the metrics and monetization of the original RUclipsr who made the content being reacted to.
Common courtesy nowadays is that any reaction content regarding RUclips videos should let their reaction sit for at least 4 days after the original video before uploading. This way RUclipsr who created the video being reacted to can recieve proper monetization and get a proper algorithm boost for their hard work. TheActMan made a pretty good video about it after his friend, AsmonGold, uploaded a reaction to one of his videos too soon and accidentally destroyed its traction.
Trailers and game cutscenes, however, are all fair game because the trailer makers don't have to worry about making money from views! They want as many people to share it around as possible to generate hype for the _real_ product (ie. the actual game)!

Kinda agree. I enjoy watching reactions of things I'm into, like say game announcements for games I'm hyped about by creators that are also excited to hear the news. Like watching JesseCox lose his mind over a new FF14 trailer or Oroboro creaming himself at the Demon's Souls Remake reveal. I also like watching experts in a particular field react to things in their field they weren't aware of, like musicians who never really had time to sit down and play games reacting to video game music and stuff like that. Or history buffs reacting to movie depictions of certain events. When it comes to just watching some dude or chick just sit there and stare at a screen for 3-10 minutes with very little to add that's when I check out.

    • @Noizzed
      @Noizzed Месяц назад +4

@@SomethingScotty Yeah, i agree. To make a good reaction you don't just watch a video like you would regularly, in that case, who speaks out loud every thought that passes in their mind while alone, like a madman? Not most people, that's for sure. But when you are doing a reaction, you need to convey your thoughts to the viewers.

Did you go over Dark Souls 1 yet though? I only ask because Dark Souls 3 is very closely connected to the first one and a lot of this won't make as much sense without without seeing that first. Dark Souls 2 is also connected as well but not as strongly.

This is how the Deacons of The Deep fight works:
Among the crowd is 1 Deacon with energy around him. When you kill him, the overall health bar drains, and the energy transfers to another deacon.
After killing enough of the special deacons, an Arch Deacon rises from the ground to kill. After he gets got, the fight is over.

DS3's probably my least favorite of the Dark Souls Trilogy, though my bias is probably because of how badly they butchered Magic/Casters after all the improvements that were brought forward in DS2.

@@BattleguildMagic in DS3 is super fun it’s just no longer so OP that it’s braindead easy mode. It’s also very resource dependent because you have go dedicate like half your ring slots depending on your choice of magic, the FP bar is super good thing and I’m glad they brought it back from demon’s souls

I vastly prefer Limited Casts over FP, which basically boils down to Damage vs FP Consumption, at least with Limited Casts you were more likely to use your entire array of spells rather than spam what's most cost efficient at the moment.
As a Caster main, going from DS2 to DS3 was a massive downgrade, especially in terms of PvP. Casters had a slight edge over Martials in DS2, whereas in DS3 Casters were a complete joke in PvP and were mostly viable only in gank squads.
Casters were made more competent in Elden Ring vs DS3, but even then it's pretty poor compared to DS2.
(Casters =/= Spellblades. Those are entirely different builds and shouldn't be lumped together.)

  • @SomethingScotty

I have no respect for Vaati. I used to way back when, until it came out during the DS2 days that he was a Patreon supported plagiarist. Not only did he steal most of his lore ideas from Reddit, he also copied other content creators, in some cases shot for shot and line for line between videos. He copied Redgrave's Paleblood Hunt for his Bloodborne Lore video. He's a plagiarist that got away with it because of him burying his accusers as well as viewers looking past it because of his "buttery NZ accent". But back in the day though people like TerraMantis, Aegon of Astora, Illusory Wall, etc., etc., all came out against him. People like ENB had nothing good to say about the guy but wouldn't go into any details why he didn't like him, but given the drama at the time it was safe to assume why. Hell Aegon of Astora even provided video proof of it and people still loved Vaati. Even if Vaati doesn't steal from people anymore, for me the damage is done and I can never hear anything he has to say without thinking "Wonder who he might of taken this from.". And the reason why Vaati rarely does podcasts is because he was brought onto Bonfireside's podcast back then and was asked a simple lore question and that dude stammered his friggin' ass off and dodged the question like a politician.
