It feels weird saying "Good to have you back, Yahtz." after a single week of absence. The turnaround between the Escapist nose dive and Second Wind rising from the ashes is astonishing. Bravo.
I believe ZP worked with an early access model for the Premium folks, so there should be another episode of ZP ready to go on the escapists channel. Why it's not live now is up for debate, but my money's on 2fa being enabled with a personal phone that left with the team. My point being that if this is true, the guys never missed an episode and it's only the corporate side who left a gap.
There's something very satisfying about watching this while imagining some executive at Gamurs standing around in an office full of empty desks, going "oh, it was the TALENTED HARDWORKING PEOPLE who made this profitable. I thought it was the yellow colour scheme."
"Maybe we should re-evaluate our relationship with the writers and creators in order to more closely meet our audience's expectations, so that the people who actually do all the work around here can freely produce the content the people want, without unnecessary pressure or looming threat of unfair termination?... It's fitting to see the return of "Fully Ramblomatic" with a familiar but fresh look. Also, it's nice that patron funding has enabled Yahtzee to swear up a storm again.
Hard disagree. I find it bears little to no resemblance to any intellectual property not wholly owned by members of the group known as Second Wind. -in case TE's lawyers are snooping around
@@JohnZ117 Quick note: it would be the Gamurs Group (the Corp that owned the Escapist) lawyers. All the Second Wind folks have asked people to not attack those still at the Escapist as they weren't the ones to fire Nick and all, that was Gamurs.

Fully Ramblomatic reminds me of Yahtzee's Stardew Valley review: "Stardew Valley is Harvest Moon. It murdered Harvest Moon, stole Harvest Moon's skin and befriended Harvest Moon's parents under the guise of consoling them in their hour of grief." The context is vastly different (and I 100% support Yahtzee for doing this), but it's hilarious how thinly veiled the whole thing is
It'll honestly be hilarious if they try to sue him. I'd want that televised. "No no no, see, those guys have *pointy* feet, while these guys obviously have rounded boots. Completely different"
@@TheGrimSmile IANAL, but I expect the Escapist would find pursuing this very difficult. You can copyright a set of characters or a specific format, but you can't copyright an entire art style or the concept of a shortform comedy review with music at either end. I guess there might be enough there for Gamurs to use a visibly shaky claim to pull Second Wind into an expensive legal battle, but that would make the Escapist's publicity disaster 57 times worse and I also expect SW would find quite a lot of support from the same kinds of people who backed Karl Jobst against Mr William Mitchell Esq.
The funny thing about this is that it's pretty much the 3rd episode of the Fully Ramblomatic Review. The 1st 2 videos were done ages ago which probably makes this the longest episode gap in history. Well.. at least he managed to create a 3rd episode; unlike Valve 😆
Wow! You were back up and running again SO FAST without skipping a beat. It feels almost exactly the same as ZP except a lot more red and your hat is black now....and hearing you completely uncensored is like music to my ears, that ending was perfection and pure art. Good times.
Yahtzee is like a drummer playing a 7:4 polyrhythm: you just sit there listening to him, dumbfounded at his speed and consistency, unable to grasp how he's not missing any beats. Glad Yahtzee wasn't the only one to nail the time signature shift.
I love how within a day of the video release, it already has the normal ZP level of views. This man is able to curate such a fanbase that within 2 weeks of his last video, basically everyone who follows him already knew about what happened and found out about this channel in time for this release. That is genuinely insane
I'll be honest, I tended to catch up with ZP monthly and just binge watch the 4/5 episodes. What got me here was seeing Fully Ramblomatic as a youtube suggestion and wondering if Yahtz had started a 'for-fun' series like what he used to do with Gabe. Learning about the implosion at the escapist came after finding Second Wind.
To be accurate, they didn't fire Yahtzee, they fired a bunch of other people, most notably Nick Calandra, the very talented producer who had done so much in the past few years to make The Escapist more than just Zero Punctuation. I pretty sure that they were utterly shocked and kinda horrified when Yahtzee quit in response.@@Anon13430

Man. I was legitimately devastated thinking I'd never see this again. The phoenix logo, the whole brand, you are all geniuses for putting it together so fast.
I wonder how anticipated this was? Probably a long time; assholes tend to broadcast themselves as unreliable. brilliant of the team to have a contingency plan and read the market accurately.
It wouldn't surprise me if they were expecting it tbh. Management had probably already done stuff like this on a lower level to test the limits. They just completely misjudged what they actually were.
8 never noticed the swear words left but I'm glad Yahztee and everyone else gets a proper home Which, by the way, the fact that Nick was at the escapist for less than a third that Yahtzee was and Yahtzee was still more loyal to him than anything else is a show of how good a guy Nick is

For the past few years, every time a new ZP dropped, I would take a moment to wonder why Yahtzee chose to remain chained to Escapist. And now I don't have to - I can just lean back and enjoy.
It's like Riley Murdock said, "They can use all the punctuation they want. You deserve it."
What happened? Yatz leaving escapist?
A company bought The Escapist, and fired the editor-in-chief. So Yahtzee and his friends quit too, and they all founded this company.
Bit late, but Yhatzee said he stayed with the escapist because of stability, and also because he didn’t want to worry about the logistics of things.

I think this is my first time hearing him swear and it's slightly jarring, but in a fun way. I do miss the obviously spliced in alternate words though, that's a gag I never tire of.
I love Toffee the dog being the new little gremlin thing. So adorable. Glad y'all could keep the train running
I enjoy how windy it is here ❤
8 never noticed the swear words left but I'm glad Yahztee and everyone else gets a proper home
Which, by the way, the fact that Nick was at the escapist for less than a third that Yahtzee was and Yahtzee was still more loyal to him than anything else is a show of how good a guy Nick is
Yahtzee released those swears like he was storing them in his bladder during a particularly awkward dinner that he just managed to excuse himself from.
Also, nice touch using every primary colour but yellow.
😂😂😂😂
