Excellent demonstration sir. Sir in Babesiosis is known to cause kidney failure. And Oxytetracycline also is known to cuase kidney diseases. Why did you choose Oxytetracycline for treating Babesiosis when there are many other better and safer drugs of choices as per textbooks? Just a soft query out of curiosity.

Actually in puppies we prefer clinda and adults doxy but some Clint's are not able to give oral,so I used OTC ,earlier injectible doxy was not available.second when it's needed than we use at low dose rate to avoid kidney damage.

In dogs there are 8 blood go like de 1.2,1.2,3,4,5,6,7,8.reaction occur in between 1.1 and 1.2 so in first time chances are rare.so you can take 1 drop of each on slide ,mix it and see if there is no clumping you can transfuse.and now a days blood matching kits are available but costly.in cats 1st transfusion can be risky actually there three blood gp.

Can you please explain the reaction? I have only worked as a large animal tech and an EMT making my medical knowledge limited but I can understand quite a bit if you don’t mind. I am curious because my chihuahua just had transfusion in IMHA situation. What causes the reaction? Thank you in advance Doctor.
