Can you make a video of an object casting a broken shadow on another object? For example, the shadow of a wall on the stairs behind it 🥲 or something like that
It’s still a shadow cast onto an object’s surface plains. There ground is flat horizontally. Neighboring objects would have vertical plains and different horizontal surface (if any). So the shadows casts will be different with vertical plains.
@@drawingarchitecture yeah but how do you draw that ? What is the math behind it I know that if the shadow falls of an edge it changes direction at some angle. I would like to know the rules that explain how to do it. Any links to video's or website?
@@Romahotmetytky I already showed a bit of that in the video. Have a watch at some of the most basics before this video. Havea watch at this example whereby some of the object's parts cast its shadow to itself: ruclips.net/video/O6BjQIGA3jM/видео.html Learn the principle about the light triangle - vertical edge, shadow direction and light direction. I suggest you read How to Render by Scott Robertson. It's a current book and part of my resource for this video. Try finding also what John Montague has written about shadow castings - he showed shadow castings to other objects.
One of the best videos on shadow casting thank you I’ve been looking everywhere for information like this!

Thanks for your video!!
You are most welcome. What else are you having trouble with? I can probably produce a video about it.
