How would you use these snowflakes? One tip: make a hardened one for everyone you give a Christmas for, add a hanging loop and attach it on a card, for hanging on the tree! See also a different 2-round snowflake: ruclips.net/video/TqtswdwGeyU/видео.html
Gorgeous. As in these strange covid19 times I have been crocheting what feels like thousands of flowers for vases, flower pots and wreaths for all my friends I now have loads of yarn suitable for these and your other snowflakes. They are much easier than the ones I made a couple of years ago but even nicer. Thanks for sharing!
you are brilliant tuula! no more excuses for ever being bored with nothing to do , ha; we can shower our world with snowflakes -- beautiful --thank you /:)
Thank you for a great tutorial, I enjoy your teaching style a lot and you have the perfect speed of teaching/demonstrating while keeping the video short, which is very much appreciated! I just want to add that I block and starch these at the same time! I use 2 tablespoons of cornstartch (cheapest one) mixed with about 5-6 tablespoons of water until dissolved. It will be cloudy. I soak the snowflake in there just until it is fully wet, flipping it so both sides are covered, then I pat it dry (a little! you don't want the starch coming out) and arrange it flat and let it dry on a dinner plate. They take 12-24 hours to fully dry, but they are starched and blocked in the same step! I made this up so I don't know if it's OK, but I don't care because it works! lol. I don't know how it would come out with colored thread, I use white for my snowflakes, so if a cornstarch residue is visible, I wouldn't know. Just thought I would share. Thanks again for a great pattern and for your wonderful videos!
@@TuulaMaaria Also, I have found that it helps a lot for hardening to heat the snowflake in the microwave once it is soaked to "set" the cornstarch. I do it twice at about 30 seconds on 50% power (for my little microwave) you want the snowflake to be noticeably warm but not toooo hot. Let it cool completely and go once more to heat it. THEN let it dry. Yarn can burn and turn a burnt color (!) so just be careful! This is the trick to getting it very hard with the cornstarch method! Love your channel!!
I love this pattern! I’m so obsessed with making these. They are fast and easy. Who would of thunk! Lol Thank you so much for this pattern. I’ve already made 6 of them. I’m going to make a garland out of it. 😍🥰
I am happy to have found your channel! Your instructions are easy to understand, as I watch you step-by-step! Thank you for going slowly to help us see exactly where you are inserting your hook!
I have a video about hardening with glue: ruclips.net/video/eJFvKOxw3M4/видео.html Also, depending on where you live, you can harden with hot water and sugar solution (can't use in areas where there are insects in homes).

Thank you, that's a great tip! I haven't tried cornstarch for that but I'm sure it would work as well as sugar and glue!
