Do you have any other ideas for decorating these ornaments other than beads, sequins and glitter yarn mentioned on the video? See a playlist of my most popular Christmas decoration tutorials: ruclips.net/p/PL7vcNpUtI_Rbsfuhfyl9sYoYx4t5qO30W
These are so nice. I will have to buy some special yarn for the outside to give them a lift. I have lots of red and green left over from a multi coloured blanket I crocheted for my 14 year old grandson. He's not too old to love something his grandma lovingly crocheted for him.
Very beautiful and simple. Thank you for sharing. My daughter got an idea to decorate . In India we celebrate Diwali festival so we can use it. Thanks for the tutorial.
That's great! yes, these would go for a whole of different festivals, not just for Christmas. With the new channel to come I have been learning quite a lot about India lately!
I often stiffen crochet using white glue. You have about 60% glue, 40% warm water and mix and dip the item into it. Then let it dry on something it doesn't stitch to, like a plastic tray or cling film.
@@rebeccadees2300 I answered this in the Facebook group but here shortly for those who read these! It doesn't matter because when the ornament is opened up, all sides show.
I keep a large selection of all sorts of glitter yarns so I don't remember exactly what one I had there. Most local yarn shops sell them and also hobby stores. Here's one example in Amazon what it could be amzn.to/3sFNvi6 (My affiliate link)
Unfortunately I don't know, I have so many small balls of glitter yarn with no wrappers left. But it is a size that works well on size 3and 3.5 mm crochet hooks.

That's great Sue! You can also use the red and green to border the other one. It's lovely you can make things for your grandson!

What can you use to stiffen the crocheted wreath? Thank you for sharing your pattern...I love it..😊

@@TuulaMaaria thank you.
I've made this ornament and not sure how to put them together since they have a back and front side. Does it matter?

Πολύ όμορφο!!!!!
Αν το κάνω πιο μεγάλο θα στέκεται?
If you make a very big one, would be best putting a thin wire into the borders.
@@TuulaMaaria Τhank you
Just curious if lightly stiffening these squares would make them hold their shape better..🤔
Yes, you could use hobby varnish around the edges or even insert craft wire around the edges.
So funny! 👌🥇💣
What did you use for the gold or silver trim please. I can't find anything suitable. Carolyn Daytona Beach

What size Yarn are you using?
In that one I was using DK weight. But it works in any yarn, just need to have a hook that goes with the yarn.
What size is the silver thread?
Unfortunately I don't know, I have so many small balls of glitter yarn with no wrappers left. But it is a size that works well on size 3and 3.5 mm crochet hooks.
Try the 5mm cotton. It looks very thin. That's the size that I will be using.
What is the size of the Red Yarn?
