The only good about losing like this in the Bahamas is you’re still in the Bahamas. Kudos to the SJU fans who made the trip. Bummer for us poor saps still going to work tomorrow during sweater weather
Not surprisingly, (once AGAIN!) u guys COMPLETELY miss the point regarding ur St John's analysis. Yes they committed a great many turnovers; yes, they missed an inordinate amount of free throws and, yes, they made many foolish on-court decisions. BUT, so did Baylor! One needs to be reminded that these players are kids---they get a pass in my book for all their basketball sins. The person who does not get a pass is Pitino!! Once again, he proves that his coaching 'greatness' is nothing but a myth. First off, HOW could he keep Richmond in the game so long? That kid is a turnover machine---I broke an abacus while totaling his horrific miscues. I thought this guy was a great player---he is proving otherwise. Does Pitino really think this kid is an NBA-talent? GOOD LORD! Richmond has been an absolute flop thus far. The team is far better off with Wilcher on the floor. I am a MUCH better shooter than Richmond. He looks miserable, even on the free throw line. Furthermore, EVERY JV high school coach knows that if u have the ball with 6.5-seconds left and enjoy a 2-point lead, u put your BEST free throw shooters on the floor for the inbounds pass. WHAT the HELL was Zuby doing on the floor, at that point in the game? He missed the 2-free throws but Pitino was the reason the Redmen lost the game. Pitino continues to (negatively) astound with his lack of game-management 'skills'.He is seriously challenged in this vital part of the game. Lastly, I wonder where Pitino will lay the blame for this loss. We already know that he completely absolves himself of any blame (based on his impish behavior during last season). Pitino cares about ONE thing: PITINO! Overrated is the only word that comes to mind for this self-proclaimed demigod ,d
A) these aren’t kids anymore these are professional athletes B) Kadary had 14 and 7 while tying for the least amount of turnovers out of anyone in the starting lineup C) With Brady hurt and removing Prey, because you’re not going to put a true freshman on the court in that situation, Zuby Ejiofor is your 5th highest Johnnie in FT shooting percentage on the young season. 1 piece of Pitino criticism me and Shaun forgot to bring up is I thought it was malfeasance for Rick to show that 5 men out of bounds look then have Scott Drew call a time out and then still run that same out of bounds play. EVERYONE including the announcers knew that 4 men would run deep and someone would set a back screen for one of the guards. Baylor knew this and switched Zuby’s screen forcing Deivon to have to cut back to center court where Zuby was already rolling after the screen.
Sorry but ur reply is ludicrous. I’m not going to waste my time to address all of ur risible comments BUT, the worst bullet point is that Zulu is their 5th best foul shooter. How many players haven’t even shot a free throw yet? A coach should be watching every player shooting free throws at the end of practice. I guarantee that Zulu isn’t close to being their 5th best free throw shooter. In the immortal words of John McEnroe: U can’t be serious!
I completely agree with your point. And this is after just watching us lose to Georgia. Wilchert needs to start over Richardson. Richardson is too turnover prone. He thinks he can thread the needle with his passes every time. He is a shooting liability. Sure sometimes he makes nba like passes but his risks are more then rewards at this point.

U are wise!
Pitino and Richmond deserve each other-- they are both grossly overrated. In fact, they both stink!
