I'm glad you made a video about your equipment and setup! If you improve any of your recording equipment or setup please update with a "how to" video again! Thanks
I've used my GoPro on a tripod behind the goal for at least 20 games, usually about 2'-3' behind, and only had the tripod bumped once, maybe twice. For Indoor, I use the GoPro clamp mount and clip it to the cross bar on the back inside top of the goal. It makes for a really great shot for indoor games, but it does take a few tries to get the angle right. I've got a couple of unlisted playlists that show the post-game edits that I think turned out well and were really helpful for my teams.
Alberto, i dont know how to thank you!! Thank you very much from the training!!!! I had the best moments of my life. Catched all the penalties!! Thank you very much again!!
Hey Alberto, thank you very much for the great tutorial, I was wondering if there is a quicker way to set up a camera since I only have limited time before the match starts and I don't really have time to mess around with it. It's even harder when I am starting on the bench and don't if and when I will come in
I have the same problem I would just set the go pro behind you on the floor in the goal as the ball doesn’t usually go down the middle of the goal and go in.
Hello Alberto, I am a 14 year old goalkeeper and am an instant fan of your videos. This video was SOOO helpful. But I was wondering how I could set up something to video technique without risking my dad's go pro 😂
Hello and thanks for the advices! I Had an smartphone Oppo Find X5 Pro and I only want to film on my tripod the shots I take behind me to look the direction of the ball. Should I buy for that a Go Pro or am I ok only with my smartphone?
Alberto, I like the way you rig the GoPro onto the net with the chest harness. Great idea. but there is also another great mount for the GoPro in a goal. You could use a headstrap or a wriststrap (these are both on the GoPro website for cheap prices) and rig it to the middle of the back posts. there is a video on my friend's channel, in fact the channel trailer. Just look up the name wfbsoccerbros and then watch his channel trailer and look for the goal angle. It's great.
That is a cool angle, might be harder to get the footwork in the shot though, personally still like the go pro directly behind me but when I get another action cam I will be placing it in one of the corners like that. Thanks for the suggestion!
Hey Alberto! Thanks for the vid, I’m looking to purchase a GoPro for recording games and trainings. The in-goal camera seems like the best way to go, could you show us an example of the GoPro from the sideline ?
Hey Alberto, I'm having some trouble with my chest strap falling forward a bit when I go to put it in the center of the net in the netting. Have you experienced that at all? I solved the problem with the camera dropping from a strong shot, but the whole set up kind of rolls forward.
Elmer Pacheco check out my goalkeeper training playlist for the how to get up quickly video. It will show you exactly what you are looking for. I'll also work on remaking this video soon
Alberto, I really need more explanation on how to do a goalkick. I 've watched tons of videos on it, including yours, but I just can't seem to do a successful one.
Hey Alberto! I have question. The thing is that I most of the times hurt my fingers while goalkeeping(in the joint of the finger). And it happens quite a lot of times. What should I do with this finger? Take a couple of days off to let it heal or what? Please help me. Great Videos on your channel btw!
Alberto so i have a request, may you make a video on showing how to do a goalkick/or when receiving the ball from your teammates and passing it back out. I do it okay but sometimes my players don't open up and player starts rushing me.
solmex7 check out my goalkeeper training playlist for the how to deal with a back pass video. I'll also work on remaking this video since it is an essential part in goalkeeping
I've done it once, check the Freccia Spectre video. It was awesome problem is most fields I go to are privately run and they wouldn't like it if I started tipping over the goal or climbing all over it to place a gopro on it. When I can I do try to put the gopro on the top bar only hard part is guessing what the camera shot will look like since the gopro has no view finder. Like in the spectre review, I had it set up perfectly but didn't notice there was a smudge on the front of the casing which made the shot kinda weird.
Hey a quick question about this is there anyway possible to make it less noticeable? i just dont really like the fact during matches other people looking at the camera it just dont seem well idk is there anyway to hide it sort of? if this question makes any sense but anyway thanks for the beast content
Hey Alberto, I have a question for you. I'm just coming off of an ankle injury that was soccer related. I've been sidelined since September. I have my first game back tonight and I was wondering if you could give any tips on how to safely return from a serious injury. Thanks, Nate
It needs to be a slow return to the game, if it was serious you need to talk to a physical therapist who knows your situation well. Then work out the injured area, it needs to be strong again to take the rigors of game play.Since I get this question a lot I'll be doing a full blog post on my website about this it the next few days. I'll send over the full page once I write everything out. Main thing, don't rush back into it. Slowly work into the position, most injuries are followed up with other minor injuries
I attended physical therapy for roughly 2 months. I've been able to run and kick a ball with minimal pain. It was my left ankle so I'm hesitant to go out there and go 100% since it was my weak side to begin with.
hey alberto I was wonder if you could make an updated this video by showing your new cameras, camera settings and new camera setups I hope you really see my comment! and thanks!!!!
trying to get it done in the next few days, not sure yet. I've been shooting with it now I want to see if I can use the data on it to improve my goalkeeping.
Alberto, Thanks for the video and I was wondering if you could watch a 2 minute video of me in goal and my friends shooting to give me some tips? if not its fine and great video again.

Any chance if the ball hit the go pro and break?
the gopro shouldnt break but the harness/acessories might break
Is that the chesty for GoPro? Does the same method work to set up the camera on the top corner behind the goalkeeper?
+José Luis Calderon yea it is. The same method works almost anywhere you can get a good wrap around
any posible way i can use my phone and still get good footage if yes how?
Alberto,
I really need more explanation on how to do a goalkick. I 've watched tons of videos on it, including yours, but I just can't seem to do a successful one.
Anyone know how to get the gorpor attached to the back post?

Chandan Sondhi try taping that joint up and icing it when you're resting. Thanks for watching and commenting
is there anyway to improve my leg power coz at training we did drills that everyone shot at goal and i couldnt dive top corner or to the post
Those are both hard areas to reach for any keeper. If you want to improve your leg strength, go to the gym and lift some weights and run.
But easy ways, i have noticed a slight improvement in how high i can jump since novemver when i started
jim bob squats and repeated kicking
ok thanks
Hi Alberto. Whenever I go to goal kick a soccer ball it never lifts off the ground. Also can you help me get more power on my kicks. Thanks!
Big M focus on the center of the soccer ball watch it all the way
Can you please do a review on the nike vapor grip 3?
Keep up the awesome work
Jack Dalton Will try to get my hands on them. thanks for watching and commenting
Hey Alberto, how much memory does your camera have to store 90+ minutes of footage?
David Babrick I used a 32 GB Sandisk
Alberto so i have a request, may you make a video on showing how to do a goalkick/or when receiving the ball from your teammates and passing it back out. I do it okay but sometimes my players don't open up and player starts rushing me.

Have you ever played futsal? If you do, can you make video like tips and tricks for GK?
Yea, I'll have to make a video on futsal goalkeeping soon!
hey Alberto
just wondering if you had ever tried to put the gopro on the crossbar and if the shot is any good

BeQuiet probably not, most of the time people don't even notice the go pro unless they are really close or they see me missing with the harness.
Great vid, I was waiting for it, thanks!

Alberto,
Thanks for the video and I was wondering if you could watch a 2 minute video of me in goal and my friends shooting to give me some tips? if not its fine and great video again.
***** send the video over. will see what i can do
but if you put the gopro behind you on the ,,floor" and you let in a goal and the ball hits the gopro thats pretty dangerous right?
SampleSweg no its an action camera
u should do a question about goalkeepers and the winner gets goalkeeper gloves. by the way the video was great stay cool bye
.
What if the ball would actually hit the camera?
First time watching in a while have had really poor internet. Germany?!?!? What's happening!
WSW ARSFC The agent at the GIS combine liked my play style and invited me to an academy in Germany to train and then try out for pro teams.
Wowi! Good luck m8!!! You better not give up on RUclips when you are playing with Arsenal 😜😜.
Aw fakk yeah dad
wat r the odds that my gopro will be smashed to pieces doing this?
Blaze Williams go pros can take some serious damage. Mine has been hit point blank and is still going!
k thx
