Having never read the manga I'm trying to get an idea about what kind of school this is based on the flag. The song sounds German, but those look like asian characters. Who are these girls?

first, consider that while schools are based on (usually) western cultures, all girls are japanese.
This one is a mixed Russia-Germany school, that's why I chose a DDR song
