Great tips once again! I'm at the stage where I'm learning how to use my camera/camera app and by just shooting and learning by trial and error. I also liked the tip about not over packing. Just focus on redundency back-ups for the required gear you'll need and don't bring things that aren't essential to the job at hand. Will definitely keep that in mind for future ventures!
Love it! Learning by trail and error will never go away - I've been filming for 18 years and I still find mistakes I want to tweak for the next time. It's both encouraging, because there's always ways to improve, but also sometimes frustrating because you think "why haven't I mastered this?" I encourage you to stay in the former and not get frustrated - easier said than done, but realizing that the small tweaks we learn from each shoot is the 1% that helps to make us better!
