What was the awful question he asked of Bowie? There's one i can think of wonder if it's the same one you are writing about?
That’s probably why Ricky Gervais was a Dick towards Jonathan Ross, when he was on Jonathan’s show trying to interview him. Gervais was actually a good friend with David Bowie
@@morningstar9233 Bowie was about to sing by himself using that little tone box. He said, Here's one for the fans. He played one note, you could tell it was Space Oddity. Suddenly Mr Ross asked him about kissing men. It was inappropriate, the audience tensed up and held their breath.. I was so upset. So, I hold it against him.
@@lotstodo Thanks Pat. I don't remember that. haven't seen the interview in years. I remember Ross said many cringe worthy things throughout the interview. I think people asking Bowie about his bi-sexuality in later years bothered him because it was only something he experimented with as a young man on drugs. Some say he was never bi-sexual and Bowie only said he was to cause a sensation at the time. He may also have done sexual favours for men to get ahead in his carreer, but was not truly bi-sexual. I've nothing against people who are may i say. For years i had a bi-sexual girlfriend. I think by the time of the interview Bowie had been completely straight for over 25yrs, so for him the experiment was ancient history. The awful part of the interview i remember was Ross going on about how he loves pornography and was trying to get David to admit he also enjoyed watching this stuff. David was like: it doesn't interest me, and i don't need it and never have. I'm happily married now and enjoyed a varied sex life when single. He also said to Ross: you'd be a better man, husband and father if you don't watch porn. Bowie looked a little appalled at Ross. Again i'm going from memory so i may not have everything correct but that was the general gist of what transpired. The sad thing is Ross is a huge fan of Bowie and i think he was trying to get Bowie to like him, but Bowie was on another level as a human than Ross. Ross just seemed immature and a bit sleazy.
