I remember seeing the Denver Belle section many years ago when I first started playing fiddle. Blew me away as much as it did back then. But oh man, everything he did here is just beautiful. Especially that Waltz around the 15 minute mark.
I am so glad, really happy, to see this video. It has taught me that Kenny Baker played the fiddle like it was a big fish. Now, I will consider the fiddle, or violin, to have been designed with that in mind. It certainly helps me to understand the fiddle playing much better than I ever have. I sure do appreciate the video upload.
Slim is Slim Richey who produced this video and others under The Ridge Runner Videos series. Slim's real first name was Mike and he owned a music shop in Oklahoma for some years, later relocated to the Austin, Texas area and taught and performed jazz guitar for some time. A great player and teacher.
I was good friends with slim for many years. I went to several of his weddings. Ha ha ha. He was a great character and very smart and well read. I miss him.

Just wondering who is Slim? Excellent backup guitar.
Slim Richey was a jazz and bluegrass musician who started Ridgerunner Records. There’s a nice write up on him on Wikipedia.
Thanks for the reply. I'll check it out.
