I’m not even a battlefield player and I recognize this as one of the coolest moments in gaming trailer history. To see a player base be seen so clearly by developers just warms my heart.

@@enma354 Stun_gravy coined the term Rendezook as the modern version of Zookaman's LoopZook. Stun has another version of the Rendezook where he uses a sniper rifle and he steals the other jet.

Rendezook was invented almost 10 years prior to BF3, some bloke decided to jump out of an aircraft in BF1942 and zooked an aircraft. Remember watching that at an internet cafe when i was a kid back in the day.

It is just something that is possible and people started using it even back in 1942. And some players made clips out of it like Stun gravy ponylion and the 1942 guy (sorry forgot his name)

The loopzook in 1942 involved the pilot pitching the plane up and then ejecting, allowing the plane to fly in a loop.
In Battlefield 3 and 4, apparently the plane just flies forward after you eject, so people compromised with the rendezook by flying straight up and then landing back in.

Completely and utterly 100% wrong. He lands back into the plane as it completes the loop, I know this as the original LoopZook video has been one of my all time favourite videos since before Battlefield 3 ever existed.

It wasn't always just a Battlefield thing either. People would do this in Halo aswell but more common with snipers. But ever since it Stun did it in BF3 it was insane and inspired me to buy Battlefield 3 and do it on that game aswell 😂

Randezooking wasn't, that was a term coined by Stun in BF3, but loopzooking was from 1942 and was without a doubt the base inspiration of it.

As I pointed out on Twitter, the first rendezook (or loopzook back then) was made by Zookaman. Things have moved on a lot since then!
Now we can finally enjoy some epic Only in Battlefield moments in a trailer :D

@@s1mplem4gic58 ok, listen. I think BF3 is more balanced and need real skill to play. In BF4 they added a lot of new things, like advanched gun customization(its cool, but in bf3 we all have the same attachments), some attachment you can unlock only opening battlepacks, and battlebacks is very anoing thing, cause if u want for example thermal soght for your favorit gun, u muat open a lot of packs. General maps in BF3 are more interesting and they better than BF4 maps, so u dont need buy Premium or DLC to have fun in BF3
@@s1mplem4gic58 I agree with everything what Shanin has mentioned above. BF3 is kind of "raw" game for me, which is great. You setting up Your shit in 20 seconds, and You are ready to go. With every another chapter of the game since BF4 it is not that easy. Overloaded attachments, some of them You have to buy I think, some battlepacks. For me it was a complete misunderstanding to introduce fortification building during the game and things like that. Also, mixing soldiers classes by giving C4 and Claymore to recon was just idiotic. BF 3 looks very realistic, and if You play hardcore mode, You can really feel like You are "out there". BF4 and next games got more visual effects which make You feel that You play video game and nothing more than that. Also in compare to BF4 at BF3 vehicles are not overpowered. That's was big issue in BF4, and till this day if You will meet player like for example AKA-Art(great skills in heli and LAV) You may leave game after 15 minutes because You will get bored after dying over and over again. Anyway, every Battlefield game is different and every player has different opinions. But I would advice You to try BF3 and BF4, especially BF3. Probably You can get them now-days for few dollars/euros/pounds/whatever:)

This was also a thing in BF2 which was released in year 2005, way before BF3..
a true battlefield fan will know that it was invented back in battlefield 2 and it was all over the place.. we even did it with a sniper rifle after ejecting from a our jet and riding in the dead enemy's jet...

It's more of an experience thing honestly. After having an hour count in the triple digits or 4 digits, you learn how players think based on their skillset and their mentality in a fight.

In 10 years of BF I managed to do this only 3 times. Its pretty hard in some situattions,some times you don't have the time to make this move or the lag makes it almost impossible.
This is a really cool tribute to include. I'm sure most people thought that was just to get more sales, however the entire battlefield e3 presentation was very good. They didn't show much CGI it was mostly actual gameplay.

The RendeZook got its name and term in Battefield but it was not created in BF3. It was created all the way back to BF 1942 but the name of trick by the time was the LoopZook.

"Two different moves" and in what way does that matter? They achieve the exact same thing, except the LoopZook is cooler looking and only not done now as Battlefield planes can no longer do full loops.
