lovely video, haven't been for years, but used to fish Test and Itchen regularly - my PB grayling, dace, roach, sea trout and brown trout all came from the test, which says so much about the quality of the fishing
Really enjoyed the video I don't think there's anything better than grailing fishing When the nights are drawing in and the autumnal feeling is strong Being down on the bank with a flask of coffee and the dreams are grailing in the mind
I see you’re fishing adjacent to Broadlands lake just south of the M27. I’m coming from Canada in spring / early summer to visit my mother and other family in the Hursley / Chandlers Ford area and really want to fly fish the Test and/or other chalk streams in the area (Itchen, Dever, Anton etc). I’m somewhat put off by some of the high prices on some fly fishing only Beats (although I will likely do one day on one) and was wondering about the areas you fish, including that of this video. Are they club, day beats and how much would they cost per day? Kind regards.

Thanks for your comment
Reminds me of the brilliant day I had with Duncan on the Lower Itchen Fishery trotting for grayling. Be great to repeat the day again!
Thanks for the comment Terry. We are open again for coarse fishing on 9th October 2023 and hope to see you on the riverbank again.

Pete Drennan and The Olivettes. One of my favourite songs of theirs is 'Catapult Love'. Been trying to find a vinyl copy for years.
I really enjoyed that! Great tips and info, I'll have having a crack at Grayling on the test in a few weeks. Thanks for sharing 👍
Great film going to give this a go on the Whafe up in Yorkshire
Don’t know how I missed this one. Really great video! I would love to try this and is certainly something I want to look into this winter 👍
