That is one of my favorite stamps! I love stamps that have mythical creatures on them. I'm half way through your channel and I have to say you are doing an awesome job! You should get a PO Box for fan mail.
Thank you Raul, glad you are enjoying the channel :) I do have a PO Box, I keep the contact details on my website current: exploringstamps.wordpress.com/contacts/
Great history lesson and great video! Thanks. You really know how to tell a very compelling story about stamps with your videos. I hope your planning season three, and four , and five, etc.
Such an fun episode! I have quite a few se-tenant stamps and I didn’t even know there was a special name for them. I really love them and think they are so fun to collect because you get a bigger picture spread out over 2 stamps!
New favourite episode. These just keep getting better. The detail in this Italian stamp is something I would have looked over - silly me. Feeling slightly uncomfortable but I'm sure I'll get over the fact that his jousty swordy stick thing doesn't line up across the two stamps... blame it on a print error? Thank you for these videos. You are a super stamp star.
Thanks Suzanne!! The detail level is intense on the stamp. I gotta look at putting the images right next to each other, maybe its the borders that make the Joust (aka "jousty swordy stick" ) all out of line :/ You are the super star! :D
Great job as always. I will be honest you left me scratching my head a little. Being from Wales, I grew up with stories of dragons. I was a little surprised you didn’t show any stamps from Wales. I never did see a dragon growing up but I did see a griffin lol
Since Wales uses GB stamps, I could have shown the regional Machins or Wildings featuring QEII with a dragon to represent Wales, you are right! The Welsh dragon also shows up on the flag. As for seeing Griffins, yikes! I wonder if there are any good stamps featuring them....hmm
The best dragons stamps you showed were the set of dragon stamps sold by the USPS. I love the colors and its modern art which is superior to that ancient stuff.Great episode
"There be Dragons Me boy" Another great stamp to explore... I will confess something but judge me not to harshly.. :). I believe in dragons. They existed for real in my humble opinion. :).
Love your vids :P Would like to see a series of the extremity of stamps. Like longest, largest, smallest, most produced and firsts and so on ... So who knows what the longest se-tenant stamp set is?
Interesting. Here's an interesting se-tenant stamp from India - instagram.com/p/BRTbKm6gFz4/?igshid=1igmjb1ct308w Apart from UN, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta too is an organization that issues stamps and postal stationaries. However, they are not member of the UPU and hence SMOM's stamps do not have any philatelic value. And I think you cannot show those in competitive stamp exhibits.
Hi! From estonian filatelist point of view the west and east dragons had difference. East dragons had NO wings. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_dragon Keep up the good job!

Very interesting video. A lots of mythical creatures are depicted on stamps. Please dont end this season.
There are! I'm sure there must be collectors out there that specialize in mythical creatures on stamps. One more episode :)
Once again an interesting video. I hope you are already thinking of season 3.
I cannot wait for season 3!
Thank you :) No thoughts yet on any additional seasons, we will see.
Hey, Graham. Another awesome episode! If you have the chance sometime, I'd love a full episode on UN stamps.

Well, if it wasn't for "heroes" like St. George... Dragons would still be around! No judging here ;)
great job!!!
Thank you 😊
Really, really interesting. St George’s Day is on 23rd April in England, this coming Monday.
Yes it is!! Good timing right ;) Happy St. George's day/weekend.
Excellent episode! Have you done or considered a video on just UN issued philately?
I have not considered it, something I should probably. Thanks for the suggestion.
Ur always the BEST
I learned of this when I was researching the origin of my last name, George
