Mikaela, you are such a special person. I lost my father 33 years ago and I still can relate to your pain..dealing with his loss. Grief is the companion who shows up when we think we have ourselves together. Your father had to be epically proud of you. You probably have no idea how many people he talked to about you!! He us always with you..he lived in your heart...I wish you an abundance of blessings as you travel the amazing journey you have chosen. God bless you! 🙏💙🇺🇸🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🏆🏅🎉

She is the epitome of "The girl next door" image. If she wasn't skiing I wonder what she would excel at hmmm! Probably anything and everything. We would also like to have thanked her parents for guiding this lovely young woman into our society. 💝💝💝

Too true, very unfortunate. I've done it. Health and security can vanish in an instant; tragedy is often required to teach the lesson. This woman has learned more than she wishes she had, I reckon. Her soul is stronger for it--in perspective, she may find a few tenths of a second faster less daunting, once the heart's healed a bit. Only time offers that...

Kindness Wins well I like the idea of being kind and caring about others. It’s very civilized and compassionate. Sports isn’t generally like that, except these alpine skiers are fine and decent folks. But, I’m thinking about other sports where you’re not exactly trying to be kind to your opponent. Do you know what I mean? Anyway, I do like it and not just because Mikaela is doing it, although I respect her a lot and would probably like and support whatever she’s doing so yeah good luck with that!!
