Hi Tom! I watch your tutorials every day and I've been learning a lot about fly fishing for trout, I'm Brazilian and there are places in the southeast of my country where we find small rainbow trout, thanks to your teachings, I've been learning and making beautiful catches, I have you to thank for that.
I fish small streams in rhe white mountains of new hampshire. Its always so much fun finding new places. All the tips you have given are all the things me and my brother do.
I've caught hundreds of these small trout on a fly when I was a young boy. It was some of the most fun I had fishing that I remember. And, I was also fishing with my dad!
Good video. I fish the Big Flatbrook in NJ. I think it meets the definition of a small stream although at the higher end, through the no-kill stretch. Since it has some depth it does hold larger trout than most small streams I've fished. It's well known so I'm not giving away any secret. Don't presume small streams only have small fish.
I've watched fisherman catching some big rainbow trout in a tiny stream, probably 1/3 of the one you're fishing in this video. It was high in the Andes though and about 30 years ago.
Actually prefer the smaller streams here in MT. All our larger streams are totally overwhelmed anymore! Course I am just an old duffer who remembers the great old days! Love your videos Tom, stay low and move slow!
Thanks Tom, another dandy video. Appreciate all the info you and the boys at Orvis pass along. I'll look for ya on the water.

Honestly, I don’t mind the reruns. This video was one of the original that got me into fly fishing. Thank you Tom for everything.

Yes more knowledge from the expert on a beautiful day to fish👍
I have a small stream that runs under my driveway. I absolutely appreciate and love to catch fish from it! Tight lines! 😎🎣
Good stuff as usual. Thanks Tom. Thanks Orvis.
Really nothing better than these places. Good vid!
