It was going to be a tough loss for either opponent but Kevin needed the win much more. The rest of the ground game was pretty competitive, Lee submitted Chiesa and mounted Ferguson his ground game isn't bad by any stretch. When he gets subbed he's usually tired and/or makes a silly error. His gas tank is abysmal though and his fight iq is just not there.

His biggest weakness to Khabib is his cardio. He will gas after 1-2 rounds like he does almost every fight, I'd argue that Khabib would struggle on standup and wrestling for the first round and after that it'll be completely 1 sided.
It can still happen, islam is fighting Hernandez who is ranked below him, and eventhough kevin loss he is still ranked higher. He got choked, didn't get KOed, so hes not too beat up. The fight can still happen. NOBODY wants to fight Islam, so it's a great opportunity for Islam to get a higher ranked opponent and although a tight fight for kevin if he wins it's a good name under his belt.
