Size becomes a liability after a certain point. He would lack the speed, explosiveness, and stamina that are necessary to succeed in any combat sport. You just can't be combat efficient with a body that large and thick. Size becomes a liability after a certain point. He would lack the speed, explosiveness, and stamina that are necessary to succeed in any combat sport. You just can't be combat efficient with a body that large and thick. Striking favours leaner body types and grappling requires flexibility and stamina, both of which are negatively correlated with size. IMO there's a sweet spot at around 230 pounds beyond which the disadvantages of getting larger start to outweigh the benefits.
