His father was the famous Johann Pachelbel. From 1730 in North America (Boston, Newport, Charleston/South Carolina). In New York City and Charleston he gave several concerts with vocal and instrumental music. This makes him one of the co-founders of a North American musical life oriented towards the European cultural tradition.
