You do great videos. Will be getting a VS soon. Thanks for the lesson on how to do it. Gonna go with the 18, 3, 3 schedule based on the off-peak summer rates. Hopefully these VS pumps last awhile... at $2100, it better!!

Great video! Is it possible to program this pump with an app? The Pentair Home app doesn't list the VST as an available pump to add.

    Thank you Steve.
    I appreciate your videos.
You have a fantastic looking system.
Could you put out a video on the best way to adjust the pool returns to get the most circulation to the skimmer area.
I have a 2100 gallon rectangular pool with one shallow end and one deep end return jet.
I have the same Pentair VS pump as you have.
    Thank you.
    Mark.

I have an issue. So the pump is programmed to the times I want it to run, but the pump does not shift from program 1 to 2 or 3. How can I fix this issue? Thank you

I dont have anything on display, and the lightning bolt is illuminated. Does this sound like a bad controller? The pump is just a few months old.

How do you change the priming speed?

    • @Swimmingpoolsteve
      @Swimmingpoolsteve  2 года назад

start the priming cycle like normal, and as it is running use the up/down arrows to change the priming speed. Stop the pump with the sop button and now the priming speed will be the new speed the next time you use it.

Why is it flashing 1750 when you hit start?

    • @Clicky_The_Blicky

Im setting mine and when I push start it flashes the same thing but 3450 rpm. But I don’t have it set a that speed. I saw the same thing in another video explaining setting it up. He sets 1 at 3000rpm, but it starts flashing the same thing 3450rpm

Running at 3000RPM can be counterproductive. If your "head", based on the number of bends, distance, height, etc., is high, you won't get any more flow than at, say, 1800RPM, but you'll use more electricity, and probably cause unnecessary wear and tear on your pump. It doesn't do any good to run the pump at a higher speed than the plumbing will support.

Unless you build in the Cayman Islands where power is the same stupid high rate 24 hours a day!
