It's definitely true that you absorb little to no terpenes when digesting food but I somehwat disagree with mangoes have little myrcene, I have a handful of pure isolated terps, myrcene being one and it smells exactly like when I was back in Brazil, every mango down there had that rich myrcene smell but the ones up here in Canada rarely do. I think the mangoes need more time on the tree for myrcene to properly develop. Maybe the studies on mangoes and myrcene where just north american studies using imported mangoes? Just a guess.

Same about sativas! I'm almost a strict indica smoker but the other day I got some cookies and chem which I'd call a perfect 50/50. The first time I smoked it, i didn't like it too much, but after smoking it again and slower, and more, I felt the full effects of my eyes chinkin, the warmth behind them, the very enjoyable head high, and equally enjoyable body high that carries you into a sleepy state. Fantastic strain that's worth recommending
