@@MsFUCW she indeed is! She also has seen so many babies in Apenheul. And Mintha is her mother, lives on the other island now. Buy Mintha also had so many babies and did a great job 🥰
My mom read the third toes when they are babies click onto the fur After they grip so they don’t fall off. Not sure about hands. I guess that God knew what he was doing.
I saw this video a few days ago & at first I was confused & then I realised Kiango was on the other island. She has a tight grip on her bundle of joy. Thanks Lieke. 🦍👀
I don't know why, but I was thinking M'Fugaji was with Kiango and Bao Bao, but when I saw the father of this baby was Banjoko I knew she was on the other Island. Anyways, very happy to see the new arrival. Thank you Lieke for sharing. Take Care, Stay Safe, Be Well. Mac
@@charlesmccoy5857 well you're right ;). Last year before the big transition. M'Fugaji was on the big island with BB and Kiango. But then they decided it was time for BB his retirement. A new silverback came, and the two young females and young boy made this new group. for a little bit we doubted who the father would be. But it was very sure Banjoko is the father because they also tested M'Fugaji before she was introduced to Banjoko and she wasn't pregnant at the time. Hope you get it ;). Take care!
Thank you for sharing this new little precious life with us 💖 Mama looks peaceful and satisfied. We are privileged to see such a tiny baby. I hope all is well with this baby . I hope this little one will thrive ❤❤❤🦍🦍🦍
I saw the gorilla feeding last friday with the little baby. Unfortunately I did not see Kiango during my visit, we could not find him 😂 Apenheul can be a BIT of a maze.
@@LalaDepala_00 ah indeed, it is a bit of a maze. But when you follow the map you will cross a bridge and just before you see the bonobo island on your right hand, you'll find an island where the other Gorilla troop lives. But the thing is, BB loves to be inside and that's why the rest also stays in lots of the time. So you'll have to have luck to see them. Normally after the big island feeding presentation, zookeepers will go to the island of BB/Kiango and also give them a treat. Hope you had a wonderful time though!
@@LiekesShotOfLife Thanks, Lieke; I’ve seen a lot of grown primates pick their hair off, but I wasn’t sure what the Mom was doing. The little one probably didn’t even feel it! 😀
@@luvcats120 indeed it's something I've seen bonobo's do the most. But also other primates. And indeed I guess the little ones don't feel a lot of it because they stay very quiet 😅

What an adorable teeny weeny sweetiepie😍🥰🌞🌻
What a beautiful baby! 🥰🥰❤❤

Welcome to the world little one😄
Beautiful animals. I love baby gorillas. They're so human like.
A precious baby gorilla ❤
How wonderful and also wonderful to have you back uploading these amazing images ❤️
Sometimes newborn gorillas look impossibly fragile to me. Guess not since M’Fugaji is plucking the head! ❤
It's been a while Liekes welcome home! Uh, that can't be a good sign, mama is plucking the baby's hair! 😎
@@swamp5050 thanks! The plucking is most of the time not a problem. A lot of primates do it to their offspring ;).

Is it the zoo where Maui “ oldest “ Shabani brother on Japan zoo , that was a silverback died last year?
Was she pulling little hairs off the baby’s head and eating them? That’s what it looked like to me. 🤷♀️🤷♀️
