I hate when developers do this. If I can’t find the secret, it’s incredibly frustrating to look this up and find out that is where it is. How am I supposed to know that those specific spikes won’t kill me? IMO it’s infuriating.
I didn’t even realize that but Eric is a smart dude and it doesn’t shock me that he added stuff like that. Like how you can press a button to toggle a semi transparent mini map… brilliant stuff
Hello my friend! As do I! What isn't showing in the clip is that there is a hint on the map, an inconsistency in the maps language, that tells you something is going on here. Additionally, there are very suspicious environmental tiles that form an arrow pointing you in this direction 💪

I absolutely get that. I can tell you now, if I didn't mess up and fall in I wouldn't have found that on my own.
So to add to this, the map is designed to hint at secrets and item locations. So once you realize that fact, then finding stuff becomes a bit easier
