@@edwardlbc562that's a fact, for a time SR was on fire. Specifically around the time they released their first two albums and the tours that followed. If SR had someone else other than Baz fronting the band, they wouldn't be sitting as pretty as they are today, financially speaking that is. Instead of downplaying his contributions, they really should be thanking him for hitting him for hitting the Heavy Metal jackpot. I mean, Sebastian had every single box checked as far as singers go.

Slash and Duff have it in their contract if Axl acts up and ruins the reunion they can walk consequence free. Money was a huge reason Axl had a change of heart with what's left of the OG Gn'R. Or as many original they members they can get to come back.

I’m not a fan but the guys unbelievably talented he is Skid Row and even with the drama he brings Skid Row is making a huge mistake. All the great 80’s rockstars are full of drama and that’s part of what makes them rockstars but also why they end up breaking up.
If Skid Row doesn’t want to reunite, it is what it is. If we can’t get a reunion, can we atleast get “super deluxe editions” of their albums they did with Sebastian Bach with a bunch of live stuff, demos and b-sides and rarities and what not. Every band is doing that these days, Skid Row should too.

I think Snake and the other guys in Skid thought LZZY was going to join them permanently. I think it's funny she isn't. They have never had that great of a singer that could equal or better Bach. LZZY is great but she is better at singing her own songs. I don't care for her covering songs. She tends to go overboard and shatter glass. Bach needs to appreciate his band, new album and move on. He doesn't need Skid.

agree - it's like journey without lou gramm or Journey without perry. no disrespect to kelly or arnel, but the lead singer is the sound and identity. that is why they call it a frontman. only exception is maybe van halen and that is because sammy hagar had a ton of hits in his time with the band. lesser extent maybe black sabbath with rjd but not near ozzie whereas sammy is near par with dlr in van halen's case
I agree I checked out of skid row when thickskin came out don’t get me wrong Johnny solinger was a really good singer and did some cool stuff before skid row but it just wasn’t the same without bach

The Gang's all Here with Erik was a killer album. I know the songs and most of the lyrics to my favorite ones. I also couldn't tell you one memorable Bach solo song and i don't know any lyrics. Jmo, but I'll take Skid Row.
Back in the 90s, when Sebastian first went on a solo tour, my friend Bob was the drum tech. After the tour, he said, "Sebastian is crazy! We were all on the bus and he freaked out and fired the guitar player in front of everyone, made the bus driver pull over and kicked the guitar player off the bus on the side of the highway. Luckily, a groupie following the bus gave him a ride to an airport so he could get home." He is absolutely a loose cannon. And he has a great voice, killer vibrato, but the range isn't there. He has to duck all the big notes or it sounds bad. Crowds loved having Lzzy sing the stuff because she could hit the notes and do the screams. But getting Sebastian back would only ruin the good time the other members are having and the crowd would get nostalgia, but they wouldn't get the performance. And he can make all the jokes he wants about all the singers they've had, but he has had more turnover in his own band than a coffee shop in a college town. So... Frankly, there's something to be said for Skid Row preferring to enjoy playing and be satisfied with their financial position than do the money grab. I've seen a reunited Dokken try to power through and it was brutal. The tension was palpable from the audience. It would be the same with Skid Row.

Sebastian Bach has LSD - Lead singer disease. I love Bach and Skid Row. They were the first band I saw live when they opened up for Bon Jovi in 1989. They kicked butt! I think they should get back together, because he got thrown out of the band for a dumb reason I believe and they would do awesome in concert sales.

They are session musicians. They know it's a temporary position. They understand that if Bach gets the call, he is going on the road with Skid Row.

Baz has a New Album and Tour. All of this watered down press is just to get him headlines with hopes he sells a few tickets and albums.
This is depressing in a sense, I'm not a huge skid row fan, but don't hate them either. However, it would speak volumes to maturity to just work things out, play again before it's too late.
They deserve to try and reap the reward of a make up tour together. I think the fans truly want it. Many bands have done it and regardless of skills being the same, (GnR), it has usually been successful and made the fans happy.
when you see Sebastion on this tour get there in time to se Classless Act, the opener. They are so good and show rock n roll is alive and kicking in the new generation!!!!

The best thing Bach could have done -and it's likely far too late now- is to say nothing. No snarky comments about replacement singers, no interview rants etc. Just play shows and promote his very excellent new album (I mean, it is REALLY fkn good...), while quietly reaching out to the Skids with just a smidge of something resembling humility. I fully realize exactly who I'm talking about, but honestly....He mentioned in that same Eddie Trunk interview, needing to write a carefully worded email to them?... well dude, shut your Frontman mouth and DO that!
I'll be looking forward to the reunion of Skid Row with Lizzy Hale after Lizzy Hale leaves Skid Row.

Sure, you can find anyone who plays an instrument. Bach has been through about 20 or 30 of them, and fails to keep a consistent band together. Yet everyone is worried about how many singers Skid Row has had.. Thing is, Snake and Rachel wrote the songs, Bach didn't. He sang what was written for him. His new album is really good, but every song is co-written with somebody else. He needs the band more than they need him. Erik proved that. Like it or not.
Yeah. Their last album went top 5 in 4 countries, top 20 in 9 and they were on a world tour. Bach's albums come with a coupon for his make up and a pair of his red skinny jeans from 1980 something. There's plenty of bands out there with members who can't stand each other yet find a way to carry on due to the heavy investment they've made in developing their band 'brand', if you will. Motley Crue comes to mind as a band that carried on for decades (despite the recent separation and legal drama with Mick Mars) while sniping at each other behind the scenes. They realize that what they've created together is bigger than their own egos, and the money is too good to pass up. These guys go on stage, do their thing, and go their separate ways. I think Skid Row and Sebastian can find a way to do the same for the fans, and the financial benefit wouldn't hurt either. Even the brothers Robinson from the Black Crowes put aside their long-term difference to tour and put out a new album recently, realizing that they are more marketable together than going solo. So, it can be done. And who knows, maybe the creative juices would flow again and new music can come out of a reunion. Looks like it ain't gonna happen, though. Too bad.

Without looking it up, I couldn’t name one Skid Row song. That said, though, just seeing Sebastian Bach, in interviews and such, I don’t think I would want to hang around him very long either.
I think the one thing that Dave fails to realize in his thinking is that he just thinks the remaining skid row fans out there are going to continue accepting new singer after new singer in the future .
Skid Row was one of my favorite bands growing up but I stopped paying attention after their 3rd album in the 90's. Only recently got back into them because of Erik Gronwell seemed to give them a little life. Now that he left, I'm completely disinterested again unless its Baz. It really is a cover band without him. I mean they've been playing the same Sebastian era songs at every single show for how many decades now? It mighta been Dave's and Rachel's songs but even with Jon Bon Jovi's help they would have never made it without Bach fronting that band. Honestly Dave and the rest of those guys are in the wrong here for not giving their fans what they want even if it's for "happiness" sake. Its just bad business whether you're selling phones or songs.

Baz is a legendary front man and singer and what Sabo doesn't like is that he got all the attention and everyone else was kinda ignored. They are all my heros as I grew up with them playing in bands and jamming their music. Baz made those songs hits and they have a career because of his voice with those songs. They used to be friends when he rose their band to stardom but after that I guess the jealousy seeped in. Baz ain't perfect but neither are they, Rob affuso also left and said he would only return if they took Bach back. I just think they don't wanna face or admit that the band is better with him in the front. I know there is probably drama too cuz Baz says whatever the hell he has on his mind but I think it is great and highly entertaining too 🤣👌

Except that they are ok with that. They’ve decided that any additional sales or bigger venues aren’t worth what they feel will come with that. Money isn’t the only motivator when deciding what work situation one would like to be involved in.
Sit them down with a good moderator. Get all of the animosity and leave it on the table. Yea, Bas is a bit flamboyant and sometimes speaks without thinking or considering the ramifications of his words. That said, let bygones be bygones and give the fans what they want.

I love 80's bands fighting to get together to sell out the 10 seater at Larry's thirst pub or play a summer festival where it looks crowded but it's people waiting for the main act or just sitting there to relax from walking all day 🤣
