    I’m a United fan and cannot believe I’ve stooped as low as this.. I even excitedly forwarded this interview to a few mates upon hearing, as I was certain he’d call out the ‘Bounce Back’ and ‘Stick to the plan/together’. @@gulshanboodhooa5203I agree and putting him under this pressure doesn’t make this job easier but one thing I’ll say for you to keep in mind is ETH can’t or won’t adjust his play style based off of the team he’s given it’s either he’s got it or he doesn’t. Some of the players he’s had leave to go and play a better football other places to return to United and lose form again, that means play style needs to be adjusted to suit the team’s strengths, he wants an intricate passing possession style in a high pressing system and he doesn’t have the players to do that. Maguire may be the slowest player in history yet he puts him on a high line defense, Rashford doesn’t like to track back, but he vacates the LB position behind him by having Dalot play as an inverted LB ultimately leaving Rashford responsible for having to cover that space behind him if we lose the ball in possession. Worst of all Casemiro one of the best clean up 6’s in history in a compact midfield forces him to be the build up and transitional midfielder to link up play between the defense and offense in a stretched midfield. I think Ten Hag is a top quality manager especially if you want to build a certain play style with teachable and developing players. I believe he’d be amazing to build a future with but he needs his way his players that can do the job he asks of them. But he chooses not to adjust with the pieces he has. Rn fellow United fans don’t understand what it is to truly rebuild cause we were stuck buying players that had big names and statuses that may not have fit our play style but sold jerseys. In the 2010’s United as a club had no identity. It was buy a new manager buy great players regardless of what the manager/club needed and tell them go win a game. Now it’s build a team/club rebuild an identity and that does take time. also comes with growing pains like inconsistency in games and players of old falling out with coaches. Happened with Pep with Yaya toure, Arteta with Aubameyeng, Klopp With Clyne. I see the positives in the United side and see a very bright future under ETH but these results make the vision very Murky for others. I don’t think he gets another season at this rate sadly. If he can get a nice unbeaten run going until March then perhaps I can gladly say I thought wrong but the odds are not in his favor currently

      @@gulshanboodhooa5203 Low football IQ comment? You either know little about Man U and Fergie or are a rival fan hoping ETH hangs around for longer than necessary. It’s true Sir AF faced pressure to hold onto his job early on. There were major differences with ETH given United were in a shambles when he took over unlike ETH where United were a team that could realistically challenge for Europe. More importantly Sir AF pretty much oversaw operations at all levels from the ground up, establishing 2 centres of excellence, investing in the long term and youth, including scouts to bring talented kids as young as 9 into United’s development program. Ultimately this was key to his his success, unlike ETH who is pushing towards a Billion in spending, and is not overseeing the youth programs etc in the manner Sir AF did. Comparing the 2 is a joke, Sir AF has even been the subject of Harvard studies with his organisational and foundational success resulting in Harvard Business Case studies published on his operating model.
      If your football IQ concludes these are similar scenarios and justifies ETH needing more time, then you should probably go and fact check! I hope I’m proved wrong if he does stick around.
      By the way, I thought your low football IQ comment and comparison to Sir AF was amusing, so I gave you your second like after you gave your own comment it’s first. 👍

    I thought I was tripping but it’s a whole lot of you in the comments section who just want to see ETH sacked cause clearly you’re not listening to the interview at all. Not ONCE did he blame anyone for the performance, he stated the obvious. They asked what happened he pointed out all the team Errors with out blaming individuals. they asked him if he is thinking the management above is thinking that he may not be the guy for the job, and he says no it’s not on his mind, him and the club came to an agreement together to keep him on for the season and to sign players to back him, but not all players came back/in at the same time and players are still getting adjusted and integrated into the squad. They asked him if he believes the team is taking the words he says to heart and he say yes but it’s disappointing to concede back to back goals the same way from two different teams the same way and at this professional level it shouldn’t happen. Next they ask him if this was the worst performance he’s seen and he reiterates the obvious that he was disappointed with the teams performance in the first 30 minutes and it was below average for his side. Lastly they asked if the performance was more psychological and we can all see exactly what he stated the players became frustrated after they conceded which led to them making bad decisions on the ball and not keeping themselves in the game. NOT ONCE did he try and use A player, or the Club, or a single moment in the game to blame for the performance or justify the performance. Clearly he’s as disappointed as we’re watching the team alongside him. What I have a problem with is that all he did was state the obvious here address all the problems with out really hinting at any solutions or providing any solutions. But to say he was just in the interview blaming other people and trying to make excuses Where the Fuck did you here any of that. I heard a lot of disappointment in his words and in his voice. Its the players alot of those guys have been there years and as senior players their attitude spreads to the rest of the team. 5 managers have come through and its ended the same. The recruitment is terrible players see United now as a money grab and the ones that care have passion for the club lose it fairly quick when the likes of rashford wont run back or other players not trying. Half those players have been there far too long and its usually senior players who run the locker run. Ten hags tactics have been bad at times but when the players actually try they get results they got a great draw with liverpool last year. Made it impossible to break them down and at times have played fantastic then next week get hammered by Bournemouth or something. The attitudes are appeal its like winning one game is enough and then they turn off again. And tbh I don't think anyone wants the job they have been trying to replace him for the best part of a year. Managers know what they will get if they go there. Non commitment lazy overpaid prima donas it's that simple. No manager can fix that team now.

      For his career yes but as far United players being shit individual we have World Cup winners champions league winners captains of countries etc. so to that I say bullocks. The problem is United hasn’t had an identity since Sir Alex’s retirement. Buy big name players for jersey sales regardless of what the team needed to succeed. Almost any player can come here and lose Form because the club itself had no form. Ineos is coming in to change that, Ten Hag has been trying to change that but United is too big a club to rebuild without losing table status. Arsenal rebuilt and didn’t see European football for what 3-6 years Liverpool for Christ sake rebuilt for 20 odd years didn’t see the league title didn’t even know what it looked like. Can’t say anything about City cause they just started getting successful after United Fell off. Why does United get scrutinized in such a manner cause those teams were never really supposed to be our rivals. Our true rivals are Real Madrid, Bayern, Juve, the upper Echelon of European football. United’s lost its way yes but Ten hag saw an opportunity for him to bring us back to where it should be rather than go to a club that won a league 15 times in a row he went to a club that once dominated a much more competitive league and is in need of a revamping, and let me say this the coach that’s able to replicate HALF of what Sir Alex did currently is regarded as the man who’s ruined football ‘Pep Guardiola’. And he’s at city so imagine what would be said about ETH if he’s able to do that for United. Whatever he would’ve done at Bayern would’ve been washed under all the successful managers before him. But with United he’d be compared to Pep, Mourinho, Ancelotti, Klopp, and other greats. Bayerns the safer option but no one Gives Glory like United
      Glory Glory Man United

      Can’t blame him because w.e he plan never even got to see the light of day with how bad the players played but imo some of these players based of the coaching metrics he placed when he got the job shouldn’t have been on the field to begin with because they’re performances have been so poor. Bruno has been poor to start the season for United whilst Eriksen has been world class of late. Should’ve got the nod ahead of fernandes. Zirkzee has lacked goal threat and although shows great quality not the type of quality you need to start against a high pressing team when your attributes are dropping deep and interplay, and the team need pace and a willingness to press and Run in behind Hojlund should’ve probably been the one to start but if he didn’t start because he’s just returning from injury then that’s understandable start rashy at 9 for a better deep threat.

    • @Stevie-Jean
      @Stevie-Jean Месяц назад

      Also Ugarte he mentioned he still needs a little time to adjust and get integrated into the team, Starting him against top 4 contenders and possibly league title contenders when you have a well rested no casemiro seems like a mistake to me especially when you play Ugarte next a 19 year old kid(kobbie is amazing tho but he’s not yet able to lead because he himself is still developing) one of the two (Ugarte or Kobbie) should start not both but if you start Eriksen like he should’ve at the ten I’d say Ugarte becomes the sub cause the midfield has a better relationship currently. ETH has praised diallo time and time again this season. the fans are begging for him to get more minutes and in a game where you need a wide player who can speed up and slow the game down with the ball at his feet Amad is taking a seat. And any person with good football knowledge knows that the easiest way to beat a high pressing team is space. so why are we making the press so much easier by playing Dalot as an inverted wing back. That draws defenders to our midfield that was already congested this forcing to do one of two things either play long balls over the top(eventually the team fucked up so much they were forced to do it) or try and play the ball into congested areas and risk losing the ball in build up play(which we did a lot of, I mean the amount of passes we lost in the middle of the field wasn’t even Academy player level, that was damn near Sunday league level. I’m saying all that to say ETH has a plan and we seen it work with his players. But he doesn’t adjust his plans to his players strengths. That makes him look bad, that makes the players look bad and ultimately to make matters unbearable the results look the worse. The players need to sack up and adjust but ten hag too needs revert back to his 1st season at United and hold himself accountable and make bigger decisions on playing the proper players who are in form to ultimately get a result that keeps him in his job and the critics quiet.

      They must add Keane to their coaching staff. He accused us of having small club mentality. He'll probably help them have big team mentality 😂

    The players he got from the old 11 from Ajax are not ment for the premier league, this is why he flops. He doesn’t know Manchester, he started with a great team in Ajax. He flopped after that team, they made a huge mistake bringing him.

    The way he is talking I reckon he's been told regardless of what happens this season his job is completely safe. If this is true, and he doesnt look worried, it's tragic news for the club. Ineos are a complete joke!

      I don’t think a lot of fans realize really what he’s done, how’s he done it, under the circumstances and bullshit he’s done it in. From the Glazers buying and selling whoever they wanted not having proper football management structure, to the Goat publicly outing you on a news network, to greenwoods unfortunate error, to the Sancho fallout(both parties are at fault here) to a carabao cup trophy. Finishing 3rd in the Premier League in his 1st season. To the Glazers fake club sale. to a summer of waiting and late signings of players that weren’t priority. to having the worst injury plagued season (45+injury cases 75% was to the back 4)since we lost the entire United team in ‘58 from the Munich plane crash(RIP the fallen Legends gone but never forgotten).To Sancho then coming back and falling out again (resulting in him going back to Dortmund). To Ineos finally buying a percentage of the club. to winning an F.A cup against all odds beating arguably the best team in the world At the moment. The amount of Scrutiny this guy gets from the critics is insane. He could’ve gone the easy route went to Bayern with a proper football structure and won the title for them Again no doubt but he choose to do what seems virtually impossible. In my eyes he’s a very over hated and underrated manager. Now that united seem to have what looks like a proper football structure for now coming on what 6 months!!! You want to sack him after less than 10 premier league games into the new season. Even now we have no left back due to injury so his style of play still has to be altered connections on the field between new signings and returning players are still developing. The team still needs bonding but you want to take away the guy putting together the pieces. What a joke. if he leaves and go on to dominate Europe and become a major problem in the champions league and whatever league he lands in like I think he will. I will never forgive the fans that wanted him gone

    The centre back is capable of sprinting across the field, beyond your crimson players, and crossing the ball to the goal, which is f------g embarrassing.

    In all my 20 years of watching Man U, this is the worse bunch of players in MU shirts ! Wtf, how can a team coached for the last 2 years by the same coach still play so badly?? I can’t understand this shit. For god sake make some real changes
    What “more time” are you taking about ? 2 damn years and still so useless as a unit or a team. Come on Ten Hag, wake up and please do us a favour!
