Very nice job. One thing to fix the gap is to cut through the corrugated part. So the window glass slides between the two sides of the vent if that makes sense.
Yeah, I get it. That's not a bad idea. But I'm worried that might weaken the structure of the corrugated plastic leaving a couple of flaps dangling that get smashed if the window doesn't slide in between them perfectly or when I store it. But keep the ideas coming. Who knows what's possible.😊

hi great idea, I've worked with that material b4 and its fun to work with....you can find it for free sometimes at convenience stores from signs &displays. To fix that gap at the bottom you could cut out 2 or 3 ribs leaving 2 long flaps and roll the glass up into the material:)
Ha! Yes, I considered that but I think it might make that edge a bit flimsy. It'll curl up and be hard to get the glass to fit right. So instead, I'm just gonna use a leftover strip about 2 inches and glue it to the bottom edge.😁
Coroplast is also a popular material used for election signs. After election night, you pick up as much as you want. You'll just have to spray paint to get rid of the candidates message. @@VantasticPacifica the only concern have is : safety. When you park at night, in the middle of nowhere...
Isn't that so?
@@theforeigner6988 Well I don't park in the middle of nowhere. I'm usually a little to the left of nowhere. Lol! But if you're suggesting these window vents are not secure, you're absolutely right! They're just flimsy plastic. That said, I never had any security issues but that could just be luck.
Great ending 😂 great idea ty
Glad you liked it!
Good luck on your Florida trip!
That looks great!
Thanks, Dawn!😁
Great job! Could you design a rain deflector for my 2002 Honda Odyssey wing windows?
You could try pipe insulation. It's like a pool noodle but cheaper. Cut it to fit and stuff it in there around the top and side of the window and just leave the bottom open for ventilation. I've never tried this but seems like a good idea.😁
You're a genius
I appreciate that but I must confess I'm not the first to do something like this. I just modified the design a bit. But I hope it helps somebody.😁
It is called corflute in Australia and available at Bunnings.
Corflute? That's a funny word but I guess it makes sense. I'll call it corflute from now on!😁
Sadly, I don't think we have a Bunnings in the US.😥
@@VantasticPacifica no Bunnings is like .... dang mental blank hahaha. It is a big hardware chain. Home Depot! I mentioned what it is called an Bunnings in case another Australian wanted to know.
And that one ant will climb in and go straight for the center console with the trail mix 😂 I’ll assume the triangles are separate pieces that are attached with the gaffers tape as hinges? I’ll probably cover mine in carbon fiber vinyl in your honor ✌️
I will karate fight that ant! He won't get anywhere near my trailmix!
Your assumption about the triangles is spot on. I linked a video on them in the discription. Here it is again. Might be helpful...ruclips.net/video/gMfGaMCbSrc/видео.htmlsi=dkBq7Av2K-vEZ_e_
When you make yours, post a video or something. I'd love to see it.
*Fluted Polypropylene Sheet* sorry couldn't resist 🤣
Also called Corflute here in Australia 👍
I have to go to Australia one of these days. I'm very jealous of your van life and overlanding culture. I got to go there and rent a van and go on an adventure!
@@VantasticPacifica Our summers are brutal and we have no end of deadly wildlife but apart from that so much to see and do 👍
@@SpectreOZ Wait. Did you say deadly wildlife? I may have to rethink this idea.
@@VantasticPacifica Yes, various species of Spiders, venomous Snakes, Crocodiles, Sharks, Jelly Fish and other poisonous sealife... but our beer is served real cold 👍
@@SpectreOZ Say no more! Lol!
Great idea!!
Thank you! 😊
they are polypropylene - 3 layers, top and bottom flat, and the 3rd twisted into a regular undulation pattern to provide air channels from side-to-side. there you go.
And that's, one to grow on!✨
Absolutely incredible!! Thanks
My pleasure!
